8 weeks will fly by. Have the baby showers started?
You seem to spend an inordinate amount of time working. You're young and you're still hustling in your career. I understand that. I just hope you don't wait until your retirement to enjoy your life and your money.
Quick answer is YES.
Fingers crossed though that by the time we retire, the market is up. When the 2008 crash happened, I saw my retirement savings lose 50% almost overnight. Luckily it's bounced back, but it's the risk.Say 'Yes' to new adventures: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=164965561

agree with this. my mom has said that the right thing to do is to work your ass off while you're young and save up money so that you won't be struggling when you're older and the energy to work isn't there. but at the same time you gotta take some time and travel. i'd recommend using your vacation time as often as you can and try to leave the country if possible.
Quick answer is YES.
good luck with that man, hopefully negotiating with the hospital and OB/GYN works out okay.
the other thing is to consider asking for cash as presents at showers. i see it happening more and more and everyone who's had a baby understands how expensive they are.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

Disclaimer: n00b.
If you're company has matching, do it if the interest rates on your debt is not real high. That's free money.
If your company does not have matching consider a different source for retirement. For example, Vanguard or Fidelity. When you go through your company, they likely have a company they pay. That company usually slaps a sizable charge on the mutual funds made available to you. Which are limited compared to DIY. Not to mention, you'll have to transfer retirement when you leave. If you're lazy tho, I get it.
... but really though pay off debt first, most interest rates on loans and such will overwhelm gains from retirement.SF Bay Area Crew

We put aside the money we get and we're starting a a 529 college plan for him with it. Might not be much but overtime it may at least pay for books.
On the pay off debt train. I dedicate 1400 a month to loans, and any extra that would go over minimum I put straight to the lowest loan until it's low enough to pay off entirely without killing monthly finances. Then I take that money that would have gone to that now payed off loan and start throwing it all at another loan staying at 1400/month.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

AVOID THESE 3 COMMON MISTAKES OF JOURNALISM TO GAIN READERS WITH BRAINS
1. DON'T make Top N Lists.
2. DON'T use all caps in titles.
3. DON'T use hyperbole as if what the reader was already doing wasn't working at all.

Ok....I see what you did there. This is gold lol
@domi
I don't know what I feel right now lol. I'm definitely excited to get on the platform again and see what I got. At the same time, I'm already excited for my programming after this meet.
In December, the group of people I lift with are all going to a meet. Approximately 15-20 people will be competing there from our group. I'm programming for about 3 of them directly, and around 5 of them indirectly. I'm super excited for that, and to be able to give those guys and girls more attention after I do this meet.

Straight beasted the written tests today, 100% on both then shot 41/45 on my Glock qualification; not bad but room to improve. Just the Mini 14 and .38 tomorrow and I am all set, gonna be another good day!
It's easy to work this much when you have no real choice; but I do love my job so it isn't bad at all.
Plenty of time to enjoy my days if I do more swaps, which is always nice too.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

Thanks for the advice. The pension is 4.5% automatically. At my old job I was putting in 6% as the company matched some of it. Feel like I should put at least 1.5% into 403(b) to match what I was putting away previously.
Even though I'm still in debt, I feel like contributing to retirement is important. I started when I was 21 at 1%.
I'm also using the snowball method. Pay minimums and any extra goes towards the loan with the lowest balance. Making ok progress so far.
I'm not clever enough to come up with a new thread title

So it was 103 degrees yesterday, and 100 today; wow.... the sunburn is real. Forgot sunscreen and was at the range all day.... fuuuuu. Of course the last days of the week (when I will be in a classroom) will be in the high 70s-low 80s.
