It probably is related to their foreign policy actually. The Pakistan intelligence service had a tacit agreement of not actively hunting down extremists for years due to the whole "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"
However, within the past year or so, they have started more actively engaging extremists in norther Pakistan on the border of Afghanistan which has less to an increase of terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
This is likely related.

You sarcastically claimed they didn't attack Pakistan for their foreign policy. They didn't attack Pakistan, they attacked Christians. Christianity is the religion of the West. The West has a pro-Israel/anti-Muslim foreign policy. So, actually, the Muslims were attacking the West's foreign policy by proxy.

So little coverage on mainstream media. What a ****ing joke. No 'Muricans injured/killed...no coverage. Sad.
I'm Indian and don't like all Paki people, but ****...this deserves more coverage."I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion."

Recently my mum was talking about Islamic terror attacks and just kept saying how she couldn't understand how these people could do this, she couldn't wrap her head around how you can kill, enslave and rape and claim you're doing it for God.
I had to explain to her that they do it because it's basically what their Prophet, and his followers, and all the champions of that religion, did.
Muhammad raided caravans, wiped out his enemies and suppressed any revolts against his rule with violence. He doled out capture women to his men as slaves and said they didn't have to worry about sinning by sleeping with married slaves since "as soon as you took them as slaves they were no longer married."
One of, if not the greatest general and most revered Muslim after Muhammad was the general who led the Muslims out of Arabia and conquered Persia, Syria and Egypt. The conquest of Constantinople is something that virtually all Muslims glorify, and even Muhammad himself prophesised that the taking of that city would be a glorious, godly event, and excitedly predicted the fall of Rome as well.
Islamic states have been invading, enslaving and raping other nations for as long as the religion existed, and almost always without any cause for it. They absolutely massacred the Zoroastrians, the Hindus, and any other "pagan" peoples they came across. They did all these because it's what the religion calls for - the supremacy of Islam, the extermination of "pagans" and the subjugation of non-Islamic "people of the book." I mean, bloody hell, we've even had self-professed moderates on this board talk about how they think it's fine for non-Muslims who openly question the faith to be killed.
Islam is a divisive, cruel, violent religion that's as political as it religious in nature, and it's been that way since long before any Christian or Western nation acted against them. Hell, not only have Muslims been raping, killing and enslaving foreigners for over a millenium, they've been butchering one another for just as long!
There are lots of admirable things about the religion, and the people who've practiced it. I'm by no means stupid enough to pretend otherwise. But that doesn't change the fact that it has been the perpetrator of a great deal of human suffering, and one only needs to read the history of it to know this. That people can't comprehend this is just mind-boggling, in my opinion.

We, I assume the U.S., based on "1865" only accounted for 5% of all of the slaves that came from Africa. Brazil accounted for 38% and ended slavery a quarter of a century after the U.S. Slavery still exists in Africa today. Also, "we" didn't do "that Holocaust thing" (even though we are treated like we did). We fought against Germany.

Yeah, and people who know this stuff are against it. Hell, here in the UK there are people who are so angry with the Iraq and Afghan wars that they want Blair locked away for war crimes.
And yet we've come on leaps and bounds since the Holocaust, let alone since before then. Our societies have disavowed our old colonial goals and, in countries like Britain etc, we have no desire to kill or conquer entire peoples. Gays, women, non-Whites all have equal rights in our societies, and many Western countries have largely lost their religious roots. By and large people's mentality is "it's alright to let something happen if it doesn't harm others."
On the other hand Islam is, and always will be, Islam. People can try and modernise it to fit with modern times but it's the final message of their religion and as such shouldn't be changed. You can certainly have plenty of peaceful Muslims who wouldn't harm others unless in self-defence, but at the same time you can have violent Muslims in droves who are aggressive and violent and believe that they need to change the world through violence....because that's exactly what the heroes of Islamic history did.
Mix that undeniable fact in with even just a few modern grievances and it's no wonder that there's as much violence in the world as there is today.
