    Lose fat while injured?

    Hello!
I pushed too hard in my cardio and I have stress fractures in both legs and I'm not supposed to run/jump for 4-6 weeks. What would you recommend to lose weight? I'm 215lbs at 28% bf.

a caloric deficit. which is what you should have been doing with or without cardio in the first place

since exercise doesnt contribute to fat loss, calorie deficit.
And do any exercise that you can without pain (save the medical advice).
There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

main thing you can do is to be in a calorie deficit, and do what ever exercise you can do without causing pain or making your injury worse.

Swimming (if you have access to a pool) might be a good option for you.

If you can and if doc gives ok, start weight training with upper body. I am injured now too (can't work upper body due to broken fingers) so I have been trying to focus on eating better and I am still lifting with lower body and core.

Thanks. I have been at a calorie deficit I was more in reference to a workout program geared for losing weight without cardio or plyo. My goal is really to trim up. I can lift, even lower body, I just can't do any kind of fast change of direction or repetitive pounding.

I don't have access to a pool unfortunately and I tried an elliptical but it causes pain.

    Thanks!
