    quick question

When an item says per 100g but doesn't say whether it's 100g cooked/raw/grilled would you calculate macros/calories as raw weight or cooked weight? I cooked some sweet potatoes tonight, raw they came to 240g yet cooked 243g? Surely that was wrong/ Just a bit confused as to whether nutritional info is raw/cooked weight. Thanks.

Labels always refer to raw weight.

If it doesn't say on the label, it most likely is accounting for the nutritional content of the item in the state in which it was purchased.

So, if your sweet potatoes were raw when you purchased them, those are most likely the raw nutritional values.

The difference between 240 and 243 grams of sweet potato is 3.5 calories. You can not actually be concerned about that; and if you are then thats a problem.

Edit: Hey wait I recognize you...

Because these entries are created by people. Some of them are wrong.
If you know the raw weight of your sweet potatoes then just scan the label and log it.

Thats because different people posted the macros. When you have a myfitnesspal account you can post the macronutrients a food, and if the ministers at myfitnesspal believe it's correct it will be posted. Different people probly had different thoughts about what the macros for sweet potatoes are.
