I have a Cuisinart ice cream maker (cheapest one you can buy $50)... All I do is make a protein shake (with skim milk) and let it sit in the fridge for a couple of hours, which typically thickens it. Pour it in the machine and 30 minutes later I have soft serve and the same cals as a protein shake. The odd time I will break up a Quest PB Cup, and make a homemade Blizzard. I have used all kinds of protein. Some of the top ones thus far are FINAFLEX Clear (Frosted Churro ice cream is incredible) and PES Select.

Blended protein powders tend to work the best for protein ice cream. The only successful protein ice cream I've ever made has been with an ice cream maker. Cheaper $50 ones from Amazon works fine.
I usually add 1-2 scoops protein, 1-2 whole eggs, a little sugar free/fat free jello mix, 1/3 cup half and half cream, and any kind of fairlife milk in a blender and blend. Then add to the ice cream machine for about 20-25mins. Take out and freeze for 5mins and it's great custard like ice cream. You can take the eggs out but it's less like custard then.Progressive overload + progressive eating = gains. Simple as that!

You can always make your own.
Almost all protein powders will make a decent icecream.
I mix mine with a little bit of milk - just enough to make it a bit creamy - and throw it in the freezer for a couple hours.
If your powder is too sweet, you might want to try unflavored greek yogurt instead, which will take away some of the sweet taste.
Here's a couple shots of a serving made with Animal Whey.
and out of the freezer... I like to let it melt a bit, because I like soft-serve ice cream...

I've been doing this all the time recently.
2 Scoops Chocolate N-Pro (blended protein)
2 tbsps natty peanut butter
~4-6 oz of water
mix it up, stick it in the freezer for 2-3 hours, come home from my workout and enjoy
480 calories, 60g of protein
So so good.
In my experiences with this, blended proteins have had much better consistencies than straight whey.Army Vet (11A)

I use a Vitamix for my summer protein ice cream needs. No need to place in the freezer once you get the consistency down which took a ton of time and trial and error to perfect but it was well worth it.
