Just a matter of too much more than anything.
High fat, rich foods are the problem for me. If I would have stuck with more carby foods it wouldn't be suffering. I am pretty sure the monstrous chili cheese dog on a hoagie was the worse offender yesterday. Just thinking that I used to feel this heartburn everyday when I was art my heaviest. Puts that reminder back in me how my life could be if I let myself go again.

March 27th
So no real agenda today. The mission to go to work and do paperwork is not going happen. I will put that off yet again. I am going to relax my brain today instead, Do some gaming, lift, relax.
Very early morning poptarts so no breakfast. I do have to go out if I want to eat. I forgot to bring food last night. Its either that or macros will be off. Not a huge deal if I don't hit my protein numbers today. I am sure my body is still in digesting from my Thursday and Friday consumption. 50/50 whether or not I go to the store.
I haven't weighed myself since the 12th. 127.8 this morning. Now I am not bent out of shape about that number. I did not gain 5 pounds of fat in 15 days. But holy hell the bloat and sodium from my excess is real. I am fairly certain I did pick up a pound during the last four weeks though. I am ok with one step back as long as I go two steps forward.*Trying to stay sane and get back to avi status.

March 28th
Could not get comfortable last night, either too cold or av sweaty mess so I woke up several times. Didn't help that I was hungry. So a I had one of my usual breakfasts when cutting high in fiber and protein. Haven't figured the calories yet but comes in around 600.
Fiber will be important today as my body has grown accustomed to all the food over the past 11 days. So shooting for 40 grams today. High fiber wraps, beans, and oats will be my friends. Protein will be sacrificed for fiber if need be.
Short work day so there will be lifting. Squat day and starting my new cycle with increased weight. May or may not get in some cardio. I slacked off hard last week with zero. Depends on how many squat sets I do.
Weeks goals are three lifting days and 60 minutes cardio with calories falling in the 1600-1650 range every day.
Day goals
*1600-1650 calories
*40 grams of fiber*Trying to stay sane and get back to avi status.

Damnnn that wrap made me hungry, that's amazing-looking. You're right about fiber; there's a point of diminishing returns beyond which it simply causes pain, but it is really helpful. Something that they do here at this health spa where I'm staying is serve a whole bunch of salad before the main course. Loading up on a salad course can really help eating--actually eating two plates instead of 1, but the first just mostly raw vegetables, puts a serious damper on my appetite even when I'm working out a ton. I know you're often too busy for that, though. But seriously, just having even like, celery and carrot sticks or (lately) a vinegar cole slaw as a side dish are helping me out a tooon. I just wish I had your vegetable-julienning skills.

I am going to put heavy ass weight on my back and raging all the while. Then switch over for some game play where I can blow off heads with an overpowered sniper rifle Should be a good times.
Not much of a movie girl. Unless there is sci fi or fantasy stuff.
Yeah fiber wins for me every time. Protein just does not do it for me. I am pretty safe up to 50 grams as long as it is grains and legumes. Raw veggies will wreck me.
How nice is it being away from the world at a spa? I can imagine the relaxation you are feeling.
And I have twenty five plus years at veggie prep, so I do have quite an unfair advantage. And I still have all my fingers*Trying to stay sane and get back to avi status.

I guess I live under a rock bc I had no idea the second one was out lol, but even the first one never gets old...
"what do you mean he don't eat meat?" :O
"that's okay, I make lamb"
lmao
have you ever tried chia seeds? (just curious)...they're super high in fiber and if you mix them in milk or water they look like tapioca pearls tricked my bro into thinking I was drinking amazonian baby chia bugs and he believed me...
they look pretty cool...
the wrap looks delicious as usual..I don't think I would even be able to buy something that looks that good anywhere near me

Strength today was good but stamina absolutely sucked. And mind willing body was not today. Fell on icy steps last week and landed on my left arm on the step above with most of my body weight. Was tight and sore for a few but thought I was fine, nope. That back arm position on my back squats was pretty uncomfortable. Did not realize how tight and wrong that whole left upper quadrant is. Anything over five reps was a no go so no AMRAP set or paused squats today. We will see how it feels next week. If still uncomfortable I swill sub them out for belt squats.
So instead of paused squats I did some high rep front squats. I have a love/hate relationship with high rep front squats in particular. So good but so hard, even with low weight. Hits those quads and core so nice. I super set these with my abs.
Finished up with some snatch grip deads. It has been a while since I have done them. Forgotten how much I love them.*Trying to stay sane and get back to avi status.

A tad high for the day, the banana was a bigger than I guessed. Hit my fiber number. I was satisfied all day. Going to bed hungry, but that is better than being hungry while I am at work. It is the lifting. Even though the session was fairly low key, it still stoked up my appetite something fierce.
Lost about a pound of the excess water that I am holding. It will take a few weeks for me to come back down to normal, baring any large calorie or sodium intake.*Trying to stay sane and get back to avi status.

@nocarbs, you ever tried cutting up bananas and freezing them? Takes a lot longer to eat. Or you can make 'banana ice cream,' aka a thick smoothie.
Also, in terms of Walden Farms, I can'I deal with the aftertaste! Is there one that doesn't hae that, phoenix? I just use plain unsweetened cocoa powder for chocolate (minimal cals) when I want the flavor. But IDK, a lot of people like the syrups and whatnot.
Nice lifting there btw. I'm impressed that you can get it done at night like that and still sleep at all. If I don't have some food to look forward to directly after my workout, I am a sad puppy. But you work really long hours and somehow also get that done... wow."The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously."

My mind lied to me. My man is also a great lover of bananas. Though he like his mostly green and starchy, gross. I get get them when they start to turn.
Its funny that you lose all control with bananas. There are worse things to crave.
No worries, I am already on page four with a week and a half in, who has time for that.
I was a bit distracted and irritated by the discomfort but got them done. Might move those front squats as my main for a bit. Five reps sits with me much better the ten.
Making ice cream out of bananas is awesome. NoCarbs you need to try that one when you are back on the banana train.
I only ever had the waldens farms pancake syrup. It doesn't really have much of an after taste to me. Its not real maple syrup but I find that it is an adequate sub. The sugar free chocolate syrup though scares me and seems so wrong.
I was a bit sad with my meager oats after lifting it wasn't enough. I front load my calories, hungry woman in the am. And I need to keep myself full or I will snack at work. But Going to bed hungry sucks.
Long work days is why I fail at hitting my three day a week lifting goal. Damn work always gets in the way. Sometimes I just don't have the energy. I need to be retired.*Trying to stay sane and get back to avi status.

Better time sleeping last night. Woke up a bit groggy. And hello crazy ass bloat. Lord do I feel fluffy today. Its the kind of day where you don't want to wear pants.
Super hungry devoured two burgers.
Well not not much burger to them, mostly I wanted the bread and avocado. Pushing 700 calories. I will have to be cautious the rest of the day not to get out of control. feeling nicely full. Let the food settle and I should good until three or so. I will work to get my protein higher today. Not a huge biggie if I don't but my recovery will suffer a bit. I am really craving bread today so we will see.

LOL my BF is exactly the same..which is why I never eat bananas. All the ones in the house are green and hard. Guess it's an easy way to avoid overeating them :P
Glad to see you're staying on track and still eating delicious looking food!! That wrap is making me salivate.
Sucks about the hot/cold sweats. I've heard horrible things about what it feels like
Btw what's your calcium intake like? I'm guessing you're getting enough through your diet, but you might want to consider adding a supplement as you go through menopause b/c the requirement increases a bit!

Abridged version tonight as it is late.
Had to estimate some as calories info unavailable for a danish and beef vegetable soup. Had to give a guess so totals could have been higher or lower. I am going to go with higher. kettle chips got me tonight and had one serving. the small overage will be easy enough to make up during the week. A banana I just had will be added to tomorrow's totals.*Trying to stay sane and get back to avi status.
