Look, I'm not stoked about Freeman but this chit is getting out of hand.
The guy finished as RB1 last year. The highest scoring back in FF. He scored double digit fantasy points in ALL BUT THREE GAMES. One of those happened to be in the ff semi finals, but he came back with a 20 point game during the championship.
This year you wouldnt touch him until guys like CJ Anderson (RB13, only had THREE games of more than 10 fps), Thomas Rawls (RB 15, gonna miss all of preseason due to injury with a murkey return situation) and Latavius Murray (RB 17, somewhat boom or bust) have been drafted?
This is based on FFC's current ADP and end of season stats from my .5 PPR NFL.com league.
Again I dont love Freeman but waiting till the third round to draft him is silly. Coleman is no threat to steal his job. The team and coaches have said over and over that Freeman is their guy.

mid risk 2nd rounder
I do think Coleman is going to take touches away and Freeman is due for a regression. Right now on Yahoo Freeman is 25, after Ingram, Charles, Martin, Andersen and before Lacy and McCoy
I'd rather have Lacy or McCoy over him personally, but would take Freeman over Andersen
No way am I passing on Freeman for Rawls or Hyde (the next 2 Rbs up)

As a falcons fan who follows them closely the team loves coleman. this is going to be a true RBBC now with freeman on passing downs.
I honestly expect it to be a 60/40 split towards the half way point of the season. In Favor of freeman"Steven Curry is a mouth guard chewing piece of chit" - Gandhi

I have Freeman penciled in for the late 2nd/early 3rd in 12 man. I'd still probably grab a WR like Tate or Nelson over him though.

Yeah, I don't have a good feeling about him this year. I understand he was great last year, but my feeling is that he won't repeat it. He was never meant to be a workhorse. I personally said I wouldn't draft him until the 3rd, but I also said that I don't expect him to drop that far. I don't like Rawls, either, but I do put Freeman in the same tier as Anderson or Murray in my rankings.

Rate my team brahs. Standard 12 man from pick 3.
QB: Tyrod Taylor
RB1: Jamaal Charles
RB2: Latavius Murray
WR1: Julio Jones
WR2: Keenan Allen
TE: Kelce
FLEX: Demarco Murray
BN: Tyler Lockett, Derrick Henry, Corey Coleman, Rishard Matthews, Spencer Ware, DeAndre Washington, Tajae Sharpe
Thoughts? Pretty happy with my starters and that I was able to grab pretty much all handcuffs. I think I went way too deep on titans players though...

I'm avoiding Freeman this year as well. I think some Fantasy Miscer threw a stat out that he scored a majority of his fantasy points in a 4-5 game stretch. I forget the % but it was pretty large.
I just don't have a good feeling.
Inb4 I skip over Freeman and he runs for 2000 yards for Ingram who gets hurt week 3.6'1 - 240lbs

Got the 3rd pick overall. 1st will be AB confirmed. 2nd is Julio confirmed. 3rd pick either going ODB or AP. Any other options I should consider?

Yeah, except we never know who the top defenses will be. Of course we think we do.
If you had the Broncos D last year then they were helping you out immensely. But they were drafted like 10th for defenses on average. The top defenses picked were the Seahawks and Bills and I believe they both finished around 5th-7th and weren't that much higher than the available defenses in your free agency.
I remember the Steelers, Bears and 49ers all being picked super high in drafts once upon a time and then all falling well short of expectations. One of the main reasons this happens is because of the randomness of turnovers and defensive/ST touchdowns. You can field the same defense in back to back years and get twice as many turnovers and touchdowns the first year compared to the second or vice versa.
Take a competent defense with a good week 1 matchup with your second to last pick and hope you hit it big. If not, you can stream defenses until you find a good one. There's always good defenses available in free agency early in the year.
Use those picks in the rounds before that for lottery ticket receiver and running backs.

Just because you guys are fantasy experts, here is another mock draft. 12 man draft, pick 8. Let me know how bad it is
QB - Brady, Stafford
RB - Ingram, L Murray, Langford, Jennings, Ivory, Powell
WR - Green, Cooper, Marvin Jones
TE - Barnidge
I just realized I didn't draft many WRs, but that's okay. Overall, I do like this draft.New England Patriot

i really dig this team and this is the kind of squad i would pick. ivory/lang/powell/rashad are all awesome backups/handcuffs and if everybody stayed healthy you'd be trading one of them for whatever you need later in the year
stafford is my favorite compliment to brady because i like how his first few games look. good draft
