Not sure what your goals are, but you have a great base now for pretty much any sport. Well done.

Looks closer to 13% to me. You are still carrying some in the lower stomach, but I don't see fat elsewhere (unless your legs have more). Starting % is harder to tell since it is over 25%
Was 280+ at the beginning of 2019 (highest recorded weight is 290 on Dec 13, 2018).

    No.

Because you lack the muscular base needed to have prominent "abs". There is no magical body fat percentage that you can just starve yourself down to where you will suddenly have prominent, rippling "abs".

Abdominal muscles are MUSCLES.. They will not "pop" unless you work hard to develop them first.

I'm really starting to become very curious how people believe that abs are given at birth. Took me 3 months of destroying my abs, every single work out to even see any hardness.

Based upon the large number of 17-20 year olds that keep posting here each month asking about this I would say that someone certainly seems to be spreading the idea that all you need to do to look like a male model with rippling abs is to starve yourself down to XX% BF... No hard work required!

    /facepalm.

That's possible, but you're also right that body fat scales tend to be inaccurate since fluctuations in hydration can affect the results. A better method that you could use that doesn't require any particular expertise or special equipment is to measure your body circumference measurements and use a formula to estimate your body fat percentage from that. Some examples include the YMCA method for males, ((-98.42+(4.15*waist)-(0.082*weight))/weight)*100%, the modified YMCA method for males, ((-94.42+(4.15*waist)-(0.082*weight))/weight)*100%, and the army method for males, (86.01*log10(waist-neck)-70.041*log10(height)+36.76)%. All measurements are in inches and pounds. If you have the expertise, or know someone who does, you could use skinfold methods and look up the various formulas for these online, and these may produce an even more reliable measurement. To get an even more reliable measurement than that may require specialized equipment and may be costly. However, the circumference methods should give you a reasonably accurate estimate of your body fat percentage.

Also, as other users have said, there is no body fat percentage that will magically give you abs; you have to develop them. I've been down to dangerously low levels before, but didn't have abs - such as when I was 108 pounds back in 2011 and had virtually no fat on my body, and could see practically my whole ribcage and even my sternum. Yes, I had a body fat low enough to have extremely defined abs, but I was all skin and bones, with minimal, if any, muscular development.

Sometimes they are, in Highschool I knew a guy who never worked out and smoked weed everyday but he was super skinny so his abs were showing, they weren't bulky but they showed enough that girls would mire

Which in a calorie deficit is an effort in futility.

As with any muscle group, for those muscles to develop and grow you need to be in a calorie surplus.

well i read that begginers when they start lifting build muscle up untill a certain point when losing fat (noob gains) but it is still possible in a calorie deficit ?

But, you can harden them and tone them in a deficit for sure. I've been cutting for 5 weeks and my abs, and other muscles have become way more toned, and firm. I do high intensity, heavy compound exercises, followed by high intensity body-building style accessories, IE, 8-12 reps, focusing on the negative. I might not have built anymore muscle, but those bitches are like stones.

    Yes.

But at 5' 10" 149lbs, if you lost any more weight you'd also look like a starved child. To me, you look around 12% body fat, which is the ideal leaness IMO. To get any more lean would mean worse appetite, hormonal, and libido issues.

I'd recommend going on a long lean bulk at 2lbs/month up to around 175-180. Then cut down to 165-170lbs and you'd be golden.

It is possible however it requires considerable effort and any gains would be fairly minimal (like five pounds of new muscle spread across your entire body over 6-7 months). Basically it's a lot of effort for very little gain.

Far easier to see "noob gains" when at maintenance or much, much easier at a slight surplus.

Aside from the deficit itself, one of the biggest problems being that your body produces different hormones when in a deficit than it does in a surplus and so your body will have very little, if any, of the hormones needed to build up muscle mass while you are in a long term deficit.

This x2. You're in a perfect position to bulk. BF is in check. Time to bulk slowly.

I have been cutting for 7 months now (was 93kg and now 71kg) but I look nowhere near what you look man. Great job and don't regret the on's and off's.
Now I don't know much but you might try to eat at a slight surplus 100-300 cal or eat at maintenance. As others said cutting more won't be a good idea.
One of the most intimidating things about losing weight is how complicated we're all led to believe it is, but it isn't.

Eat at maintenance or slightly above and lift hard & heavy. You do NOT need to lose more weight/bf or you'll look like your sick on vacation.
