That's for XenForo, the code is going to be different for vBulletin. Same original devs but it's much newer.

These are ideal but the problem with add-ons and plug-ins is that they require performance testing and engineering approval. Since the forum is on the back-burner of engineering resources, getting the bandwidth for even something like this is, to put it lightly, difficult.
