    Cereal on a cut?!

    Hi all,

Jw about thoughts on cereal when cutting? currently on 1800 cals (150 carb 175 protein 50 fat) and am looking to switch up the breakfast a bit from the usual oats etc.

if it fits into your macros, is it okay to have things like coco pops or nutri grain? I'm talking 1 serving a day (i.e either 30g or 40g). sugar content is pretty high per serving (around 10 or 11 grams) but if I keep it to one serving a day and have it with almond milk (which i always have anyways), do you think that'll be okay?

Just not sure about the affects of sugar on the cut (especially in an amount as small as this). I dont really have anything else thats sweet throughout the day except for my Optimum Nutrition choc flavoured protein shake.

    thanks!

Yes. Tree servings is fine too. 10g sugar is nothing. Read the stickies. You worry about unimportant stuff because you lack knowledge.

    Eat your cereal !

I don't know, why people drink serious mass (1000cal) with 100500 sugar, but scary to eat cereal with 10 sugar (100cal) ?

During a cutting phase, I would recommend to stick to more filling/fiber dense cereals as opposed to "coco pops"

    It's totally fine.

Consuming sugar during your cut has mental benefits. It can help you stick to your calorie deficit.

You can consume your 10 or 11 g sugar. Do not think much about the sugar as it is low.

Same. I have no idea how people cut on foods that aren't filling at all, especially when you've been cutting for a while and you get to lower body fat
