For the unawares - Valencia went out with 6 defenders - 4 full backs in attempt to stop Neymar and Messi. And Dani Parejo as DM, which was such a poor decision, because he is a very good attacking midfielder with great vision and nice pass, but sucks at defense (everyone who watched the match could see, the way he "tracks" players is laughable).
It's just my opinion - that he lacks connection with the players, probably doesn't speak spanish at all - his team played without any passion, defended so soft. Even with wrong tactics, that 7:0 is flattering Valencia. It could be way more, Neymar missed pen, Messi hit the post in a situation he rarely misses and so on.

Having a (arguably) great career in kicking a ball and managing a team are two different things, plus it's not like SAFs abilities were contagious, everyone who was in touch with him has them now.
Maradona, Stoichkov, Lothar Matthäus - you think they were not coached by world class managers through their careers? yet they failed miserably as managers, plus were by far better players than garry neville ever dreamed to be.

Although I'd doubt Mourinho would consider going to China, the fuk is he gonna do there that's worth a mention? I'm sure he's looking for the right kind of challenge, but then again I thought the same of Pep until he went for the money grabbing, supposedly better on paper, overrated ass team of City. So who knows lol. But yeah, no Giggs. Way too risky atm, I don't know why he's not considering getting experience elsewhere, does the ******* really believe he deserves to be manager? Also, I wish the board stop talking about "stability" and "backing the coach" and other ****gy shiet like that. The best clubs atm and in general have been run by firing and sacking shiet managers, SAF was a one of that lasted so long, I wouldn't expect it to happen again. Bayern is the best run club at the moment and they look for the best coaches available, they don't push this "stability" agenda down the fans throats. Get the best manager around, that suits United's playing style, and get on with it. If the club keeps looking for a manager that will stick around for 10 years each time than it's just not gonna work. Look at Wenger lol, he brings stability to Arsenal, but no silverware (mostly no silverware).

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Chinese thing has something to do with money laundering and/or trying funny business with their taxes. There's just no way they'd go in dry like this in 1 transfer window without reason.

Nah it's just that chinese clubs are owned by big time chinese billionnaires that try too hard to look american, so they spend money without counting. Bringing in latinos/whites from europe is also a sign of prestige there, adding credibility to the club, it's all for marketing purposes.

Also not to forget these players are overly paid and very few clubs in europe would match that wage unless they were big time talents, so chinese clubs just jump on the occasion and give them a godfather offer. Lavezzi getting courted by some chinese club is a good example, if the guy leaves PSG for another european club, dat Qatari money won't get matched by most european clubs, and very few top clubs want him so China is the logical exit door for him in order to keep a similar paycheck.

Besides anyone would ditch their career in europe to make 200k week in Beijing. Brb untouchable in the club, brb easy money, brb no taxes, brb club paying you a penthouse in the city, brb no competition at all because the local players are considered second class citizens.

I don't blame anyone for signing there, it's basically a ticket to the easy life.
