Unfortunately, I have to count this Please go make a new entry with a barbell soon! It would look pretty awful for the heavy weights if a broom stick took a spot on the leaderboard lol.

New overall winner for the men right now is tom70 with that massive chub inducing 523.6 pound bench

From my time in a commercial gym I only recall one guy(the was actually my workout partner for the longest time) benching over 500. 400+ was rare. 300+ was not very common, especially in the upper 300s.

But, it seems in this competition, everybody has at least an easy 3 plate bench and most guys are pushing over 4 or 5 plates
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

    Do this...
    1) [ youtube]
    2) copy and paste the letters/numbers after the = sign
    3) [ /youtube]
(take out the spaces between the brackets and the youtube part)

It really tripped me up the first few times I tried to post stuff too, srs. And if you quote somebody who posted a vid or photo you can see the exact format you need for what you're trying to do.
    Current PRs:
    Bench Press: 200x1
    Deads: 315x1

So went back to the entry rules and it appears i failed to write on a piece of paper and show it before the lift. Which is cool cause I would like to drop down to 220 and compete in that group anyway.

But, it seems in this competition, everybody has at least an easy 3 plate bench and most guys are pushing over 4 or 5 plates
I've never seen anyone put up more than a measly 325 at my gym..

Heaviest deadlift i've seen was 500. He called it the "big white whale" he was chasing. Good form on the lift too

A long time ago i watched a guy in a gym i belonged to repping out 405 for 20....and he used to be a former vitamin s user who went natty. It was probably 25 years ago. That was the most ive ever seen anyone do in any gym i belonged to. Biggest deadlift was 505 and that was just a few months ago in golds gym here. And he was like 5 10 and only slightly over 200 pounds but stocky.

Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

Ty. Went for 475 about 5 min later and got half way up and couldn't push past. I think if I go from 425 straight to 475 it will go. After the 475 I went to try 365 for reps and I was done. Lol.

ummmm no lift cause I dont wanna compete against that

    good for 475@226

And that pretty much makes it official that my last entry was in the 220 class and will stay that way! Weighed in at 222 pounds today and I am focusing more on building some mass right now. Thanks for making it easy to keep focusing on my plan instead of trying to compete in a heavy bench comp

Edit: Thanks for the edit Dirk
