Can someone aware me why gas prices are so low these days? is it because the middle east is in relative ''peace'' ... I remember the prices being high back in the early-mid 2000's thanks to WTC/Invasion of Iraq.
Arent low gas prices a good for everyone else except those working in the oil industry?Sig line can't be a novel

The world economy revolves around oil prices.. that should answer your question
truth is american shale companies started rocking like a boss causing competition to OPEC, in response OPEC kept the supply up while taking a hit in hopes of eventually starving out the american companies and regaining their competitive edge
the result is what you see now, huge supply of oil which of course is causing lower prices and americans falling into poverty involved in the oil industryActually prefer Plato crew

Oil industry inst the only thing being hit hard, rest of the market is getting killed too. Sure it's great to only pay 25 bucks everytime I fill up, but it's not good for the economy. We need some type of moderation here.
Also Obama and others are trying to force us off fossil fuels. One of the caveats of solar and wind is costs. Middle East is increasing supply to drive down prices and keep alternative energy high cost in comparison to fossil fuel.Last edited by yeagerecu; 01-18-2016 at 04:15 AM.

1.50 per gallon and less was enough to generate MASSIVE profits for decades. dont be fooled by these oil businesses going "poor us, we are hurting so badly!"
they're only cutting the bottom rung positions to maintain their own overinflated salaries and the average citizens are as fooled as ever rather than realizing this and being angry at those greedy fuks.

railroad seems to find an excuse every year to furlough though. been trying to get into it myself (half the males in one side of my family do it) but its been pretty obvious in interviews that they kinda discriminated. white young man with a 4 year degree who had to take menial office jobs due to school schedule versus the old guys with lots of mechanical experience. i stand no chance. got chosen as an alternate for union pacific but the call hasn't came as they said it would.

Expecting epic slide today by the time the markets close. Overnight in Asian markets, oil futures plummeted. There were some economists theorizing that we'd see $16 per barrel before this is all over.
