Haven't been able to "rep" many of you for a year or more...not for lack of trying.

Oxidated, what I meant to say in my last post was that I either was gonna go with the Body Solid 45, or go the custom route for a deluxe one (Strength Equipment Inc. has a nice one up on their site).
C123C, thanks I was suspecting it would be ideal after the big lifts, but wasn't sure if some people warmed up with them as well (although seems taxing pre-workout like you said).
I watched a video with Bret Contreras talking about the 45 degree hyper (depending on each angle getting into it) involving each of the muscle groups of the posterior chain (erector spinae, glutes and hamstrings), I also seen in the video that he had added a chain around the back of the neck as one would progress which is a cool idea (not to mention you'll look awesome looking in that phase with the chains lol).
While a custom 45 version will cost more, it will be way less than the GHD custom piece (according to pricing on Strength Equipment Inc's site) and will have a few more features than the BS version and will be more sturdy (I would definitely see if it can be a more bolt-together version if going that route and probably put that piece in the basement).

The reason I ended up with a GHD was that the price for a decent 45 was pretty close to the Rogue Abrams 2.0 GHD. I ponied up a bit more and just got that. Not sure where Strength Inc's prices come out but sounds like a bigger gap.

I would get both and try them out, used of course.
I had Body solid power line 45 hyper which i traded for Body master's 45 hyper which has thigh pads similar to what Mech has posted. Footpad is not that big but decent size.
It is being restored. I used to do it after squats and DL's. You can feel it on your lower back. Need to drill some holes so that band pegs can be attached.[M]===[6]▪ Mech6 Crew #35 ▪[M]===[6]

mechs looks pretty similar to the elite fts one. I think it looks prime!
The issue i see with that edge standing one is that the foot plate isnt wide enough and you can see if coming off the ground on a few of his reps.
I hit up titan fitness a few weeks ago asking if they had plans to bring out an elite fts style bolt together hyper extension and they said that they did and it should be around in the next few months. Who knows if there is any truth to that but im defs hanging out for it.
I own a GHR and a reverse hyper already but will be investing in a 45 hyper when a good one at the right price becomes available.

After checking the pricing on the custom band peg 45 degree hyper the parts and shipping just totals just about in the $1200 range, it looks like an awesome built piece (inspired by the Elitefts one), but I don't think I can justify spending that much on a 45 degree hyper since it's not a main variety type of piece (the plate loaded mid-row and functional trainer would be more justifiable being that they have a lot of versatility in my opinion).
I think the Body Solid GHYP345 would be a wise purchase (I looked back at your review of it Urbanlifter), I'm not too concerned about band pegs all that much anyway because I could always use plates, or chains for more resistance and by the looks of it the build quality seems heavy duty enough for my home gym, this will be in my sights as a near future purchase.

Noooooo! I was hoping a deal would surface on down the road, outside of a floor model on Fitness Factory I have never seen them that low. Thanks for the heads up Delta, going to get me divorced this week. Although, after doing the math it's really $275 shipped with taxes (with 15% OFF). Thank goodness, I'll hold out a bit longer....LOL

if you are looking for a cheap 45D Hyper bench there a few cheaper ones, some are still out of stock though, like the Titan. Lots of cheaper ones have no footplate. I would prefer one with a plate for support. I have the body solid version. not the cheapest, but not the most expensive by far.
