While the corona time wipes out our world. I've been doing a lot of researching into potential draft picks we can make this year.
I've narrowed it down to this.
Round 1-21: Kenneth Murray, Oklahoma, Linebacker
Round 2-21: Antoine Winfield Jr. Minnesota, Safety
Round 3-21: Chase Claypool, Notre Dame, Wide Receiver
Round 3-39: Robert Hunt, Louisiana-Lafayette, Tackle
Round 4-21: Tyler Johnson, Minnesota, Wide Receiver
Round 4-39: Yasir Durant, Missouri, Tackle
Round 4-40: Stanford Samuels, Florida State, Corner
Rest of the draft really doesn't matter IMO. Maybe we pick up another defensive lineman just to help with depth.
1st round: Murray gives us a linebacker that could start for the next five or six years. And is probably the 2nd or third best linebacker in the draft (Simmons is a future pro bowler and would be a top 10 pick so no chance we get him). And to be honest I feel like we always seem to forgo quality linebackers. We get by due to the way our defense is set up but why not just make our linebackers great again.
2nd round: Winfield Jr. is a bit of a tough sell I can admit. He's not the best safety that could be taken in the 2nd round, but I can't imagine a guy like Delpit or Davis falling to us here. Winfield could be our next safety, only real catch is his size.
3rd round: I don't agree with taking any WR in the first round not named Jeudy or Lamb (not that Ruggs would even fall to us). The other 3 or 4 possible 1st round WRs do not seem like day one starters. If you can't get a guy who can play as a starter immediately then we should take a guy with a ton of potential in day 2 and have him learn at his own pace behind Alshon and Jackson, that guy is Claypool. Our WRs are not the worst. If Jackson comes back healthy and so does Alshon then all we really need is a guy who can take over Agholor's spot. Greg Ward is a dynamic 3rd WR and Claypool gives us a big body with incredible athleticism to
learn behind Jackson and Alshon, and possibly rotate in as a TE.
The rest of the picks are generally just to give us depth where needed. None are really starters or game changers. The first three rounds are really what I believe is reasonable and logical. The rest of the picks are just guys that might make sense, but certainly I'm not married to any of them.
This is also assuming that we sign CHJ or Byron Jones and resign Jalen Mills. Our CBs would then be solid. Our offense would be in better shape than last year assuming we don't have another injury season.

Who are your five WRs?
Assuming the top three are
1. Jeudy
2. Lamb
3. Ruggs
4. Jefferson(?)
5. Shenault or Higgins?
That jump down from 2-3 is huge, the jump from 3-4 is a leap off a mountain. Jefferson is not the stud that people make him out to be IMO.
I can't imagine we can get Lamb or Jeudy. Ruggs is a maybe if we trade up to ~15. But then we lose picks in a loaded draft class just to get a second tier WR.Eagles/Leafs

Alright, so the Texans are retarded and just traded away Hopkins to the Cardinals
Many mock drafts had the Cards taking CeeDee Lamb (Murray's former teammate) so that means they probably won't take him or any other top WR anymore. Obviously, this is good news for us. Our pick (21) was right on the brink of all the top guys being gone by that point★☆★ Full-Time Philadelphia Eagles Fan ★☆★

The 49ers could very well take a WR after trading with Indy. And I'm not sold on Arizona staying away from WR. Fitz is old af and wont be around for much longer. Their only other pressing need is OL. Wirfs wont be there at 7 and Becton is a big step down from Wirfs. I'm not saying they definitely will take WR, but I wouldn't put it past them.
Eagles lose out on Byron Jones but sign a quality NT Javon Hargrave at 13m a year for three years. We really are stacked on the line now if Malik Jackson comes back healthy.
You got to go for WR in the first then. Time to trade up and get Jeudy or LambEagles/Leafs

I like the Hargrave pickup
Honestly, I am not surprised by Jenkins leaving. I respect the man but an overhaul is needed. The secondary has been absolute trash the past couple seasons. I know he was the only good thing about it but the eagles need a change.NDSU Crew

Well Jalen Mills' main knock is that he's slow as ****, but I'll say that he's a willing tackler and his speed should be less of a detriment at SS, but I don't think he's big enough to cover TE's.
Eagles probably grab another safety soon. I think Mills will be the 3rd safety on the field and we run that formation defensively a lot.

Eagles need to pickup a free agent corner at this point. With Mills going to safety and not securing Byron Jones we are critically in need of one. Desmond Trufant would be pretty good if he signs for under 12 million a year.
Mills at safety makes sense, he's a better tackler than a coverage corner. His slowness won't be too big of a deal.Eagles/Leafs

I like Slay, but for a 3rd+5th and we pay him 17 million a year? That's just an ok deal to me. I think Howie might have panicked because the corner market was drying up. Byron Jones wouldn't have cost us any picks.
Thank god we have a comp pick in round 3, even if it is 39th and basically a 4th rounder. But our abilities to trade up are more limited now.Eagles/Leafs

They are also making him one of the highest paid CB's which probably isn't that big of a deal.
In a year from now with salary cap changes and jalen ramsey getting paid this will look like a steal.
They asked for a 2nd rounder at the trade deadline so this is what I was expecting.
Seems like the perfect player for Jim Schwartz defense and we finally have a CB that will be in the vicinity of the receiver when the ball is thrown
Hallelujah.
Darius Slay is a much better CB than Byron Jones. The only thing Jones has on him is speed, everything else goes to slay.
It'd be exciting to move up and grab one of those hyped WR's but who knows how they pan out. Give me the all-pro player at the position we desperately need any day.
And people forget that he was being coached by a potato in Matt Patricia last year, his down year will revert back to its means.
