Legs Day
Squats: 185 X 5, 4, 4, 4
Leg Curls: 110 X 9, 7, 7, 5
Leg Extensions: 150 X 10, 5, 6, 5 *
Leg Press/Calves: 8 Plates X 8, 5, 6, 5
Glute Bridges: 225 X 10, 10, 10, 10
Front Squats: 135 X 7, 4, 4, 4
Easy run 30 minutes at 5.5 MPH - 2.75 Mi
* Got the good leg extension today.
I've noticed since I started working out again that I lost a lot of strength from my younger years. However, though I may not be the leanest or the as strong as I once was I made the lean "trainer" working out next to me look like a little Bish.

So, watching these 10K cal challenge videos I think it's ridiculous the things these people will do to reach these calories. I mean seriously, they all try to eat a dozen donuts and it takes them forever to do it. I ran 2.5 miles, ate a dozen in 5 minutes, and ran 2.5 miles back.
I'm watching these because I'm going to go completely all out on Sunday for my birthday.

Nice Leg Day!! That Krispy Kreme 5K is awesome. I'd probably throw up if I tried.
I agree about the 10K. Back in April I had a day where I went all out and ended the day at 9,516 calories. Could have broke 10K if I had the desire I suppose.

Pull Day
Deadlifts: 315 X 2, 1, 1, 1
Pullups: BW X 5, 3, 3, 3
DB Rows: 100 X 8, 6, 5, 5
DB Hammer Curls: 30's X 7, 7, 7, 6 *
Shrugs: 315 X 10, 6, 6, 6
Lat Pulldown: 70 X 4, 5, 4, 4 **
mixed run 30 minutes at mixed MPH - 2.81 Mi (tired legs today so I switched from incline fast paced walk to run)
* I've been doing more hammer stuff because the angle on my elbow is easier and it doesn't hurt at the end.
** Got the lat machine I like because it has the two single hand pulleys so I can twist on my way down.
My grip strength has been improving, Deadlifts are no longer a matter of holding on and my shrugs are getting better. I think the 80 Ib kettlbell swings are helping a lot.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

nice pull day man.
i definitely don't identify with you guys in terms of appetite. yesterday i came in maybe at 3500 calories mainly due to being up so early, and it's rare that i get that high.
maybe it's also food choices? given how much vegetables you guys put away i don't think that's the case...Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

Pounds of vegetables for the win.
That's like asking do I prefer pizza or burgers. But actually my wife and I discussed this.
She prefers squats as she feels like they make her feel the most powerful but to be fair she could always squat more than she could deadlift. When she powelifted she could squat 315 but couldn't deadlift more than 300.
I like squats because of the burn they put into my quads and they size lately that they have been putting onto them.
However I'm more of a deadlift kinda guy for these reasons.
1) I feel the most powerful pulling.
2) There's something very primal about just lifting a chit ton of weight off of the ground.
3) You can't cheat a deadlift, it either comes all the way up or it doesn't.
And he said let there be gains. He saw that the gains were good.
Uphill bike sprints today but I had to use my wife's path and pavement bike so I looked like something out of E.T. at 4 AM riding up a hill. Gonna need to get used to these so I can bust out some more power on them and get more work done.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

Push Day
Bench: 180 X 4, 3, 3, 3
Triceps Pushdown/rope: 65 X 9, 7, 6, 6
DB Incline: 60's X 10, 8, 5, 5
Dips: BW X 10, 10, 10, 10 *
BB OHP: 95 X 5, 5, 3, 3 **
Easy run 30 minutes at 5.5 MPH - 2.75 Mi
* I would like to start doing weighted dips but I don't have a belt for it, I guess I'll just do more reps.
** Didn't move the rack hooks and kept hitting it on the way up. This messes with me mentally and I get less reps.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

TRY it, but I don't recommend it. I see people do it the gym all the time. It never seems to go well for them. Sometimes they nearly drop the DB in their toes.

Birthday is tomorrow so I'm celebrating today.
Weighed in at 157.4, expected 160 so I'll take those extra pounds. Going to dirty eat all day long.
Not the leanest but I'm not looking for a six pack.
With that and the cookies/Reese's I've already had 2560 calories which is my normal daily intake.
Rise donuts are GOAT but expensive, they taste like freshmade funnel cakes from the fair.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

Legs Day
Squats: 185 X 8, 3, 4, 4 *
Leg Curls: 110 X 10, 8, 7, 7
Leg Extensions: 150 X 6, 6, 6, 5
Leg Press/Calves: 6 Plates X 10, 8 plates X 5, 6, 5 **
Glute Bridges: 225 X 10, 10, 10, 10 ***
Front Squats: 135 X 6, 5, 5, 5
Easy run 30 minutes at 5.5 MPH - 2.75 Mi
* Great first set on squats but left my legs fried for the second set. Oh well, came back for the others.
** Was forced to use the plate loaded squat press, but may use it from now on. Easy on back after squats.
*** I'm gonna need to move up on these now that I have the hang of it.
Had a spectacular leg day after all that food on Sunday. Even back to 167 before even touching on any of the stored glycogen.
What I've learned from Sunday is that it's a lot harder to eat 10K calories than it seems.
I would possibly do it again but not soon and likely with somebody else that wanted to do it. It was fun, but still a lot of work and at some point you don't even enjoy the food anymore.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.
