Took out front squats on Tuesdays to do more ab work. I saw some film of me squatting and I leaned forward. Therefore I decided to work on core strength. Still going to front squat heavy on Saturday because it's a great accessory exercise for strongman.
Also change push day around as it was getting redundant with OHP stuff. Felt better this way and felt like I got some good work in.
Put in my two weeks notice at work, taking a Fri, Sat, Sun job with three 12 hour shifts now. If I can't find a way to pay for daycare, I'll find a way to avoid it.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

Pull Day
Deadlifts: 325 X 5, 3, 3
Pullups: BW X 5, 3, 3
Rows: 100 X 8, 5, 6

Great day for deadlifts almost always mean a bad day for pullups.
Replaced Axle Bar Shrugs with rack pulls. I like it better as it works the grip much more.

you feel good about it or nervous to be down 1 paycheck?
i'm always so torn because i think it'd be nice to get my kid into day care to spend time with more children. but then i'm always reminded of how much it costs. got lunch with my friend wednesday and he said last year they spent $23,000.00 on daycare for their 2 kids. he's a lawyer and can afford it, but i was like

That's the great thing. I'm not down to one paycheck. I took the weekend shift at another company, so it's a full time job but In work 3 days a week for 12 hours a day and stay home during the week with my kid.
It just sucks giving up my weekends.

There are some days I think my wife works 24/7. Being in athletics she sometimes has had to work 30 days straight, but my MIL can help and then if it's not a huge deal at work she can bring him with her.
And we'll keep some money aside in a dependent care savings account for backup babysitters.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

any idea when you'll know if your wife gets the job in Lawrence? i dunno how much it costs to live out where you are, but i'm fairly certain it's far cheaper to live here in the midwest (esp in Lawrence) compared to most places on the East coast. so it'd be awesome if she gets a pay raise and you guys move to a lower cost of living area...

That's the thing about Universities, they take forever on these things.
The cost of living isn't that much down here, but it does seem like it's a little less up there.
The main question is; is it worth it to give up my situation. Her income and my potential income would have to overcome avoiding daycare plus my income now.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

yeah i know it's a huge move. not only the money issue, which matters: finding a house and moving (even without having to do so with a baby), being away from your family (assuming your or her family are in your area), etc...
if it were me, unless it's a big increase in money/quality of life, i don't think i could. but i was born and raised here, so my roots run deep.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

Still alive and still lifting. Started a new job and things are a little hectic now.
New job is much more active so my TDEE has gone up significantly, been lowering the weight but still holding strength and seem to be getting a little stronger.
Pulled 375 on Deadlift, hit 240 on bench, 260 on squat. Almost loaded the 175 pound Atlas stone, been consistently carrying the 230 pound farmers walks.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

Other than training going crazy it's great. My shift will be 12:30 PM-1:00 AM Fri, Sat, Sun.
Not ideal hours but it avoids paying for daycare and with the shift differential I'm making an extra 5K/yr. As well it gets me back into Pharmaceuticals which is a great industry to move up in. I'm currently a microbiology tech.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

Actually had a great week lifting. The new job has been making my squats suffer with at least 8 hours of walking around on the weekends, but this week I came right out of the gate and hit my first set of 5 at 225.
Deadlifts still going good at 325 and bench has gone up to working sets of 215.
Goal right now (long term) is to hit a 3 plate bench, 4 plate squat, and 5 plate deadlift and stay under 180. Again... long term.
Signed up for a hot dog eating competition locally on July 4th. Not going to help me stay under 180, but $250 is $250.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

Trying to get back to posting more often. At least on the weekends during down time at work.
I'm consistently loading the 150 Ib Atlas stone but the 175 is still a bish to lift, may need to start looking into tacky. Doing 460 Ib farmers walks are getting easier which means I go farther which means I'm dead tired by the time I get to work.
Not really losing weight as much as I want to be but that's my fault, however I'm slowly getting stronger and not really gaining weight either.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

Grip was giving out on me today and still need work on the 175 pound Atlas Stone.
Talked to the guy that owns all of the strongman equipment at the gym; he's hosting a competition October 14 and has encouraged me to drop below 181 to compete in the lightweight class. Not sure if I'm strong enough to really do anything, but might be worth it.
188 this morning. I gotta stop screwing around with challenges for a little while.I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.

Sitting at 186 now. I know I can dehydrate down to 181 but don't want to do that if I don't have to.
Number I need to hit to at least get on the board are:
220 Axle Bar clean and press (this is going to be hardest as I was always terrible at cleans), I can hit at 165 OHP so I think I can hit 220 in 4 months.
395 Axle Bar Deadlift, I hit a 385 deadlift this week and think I could have done 400 but was too tired. Definitely should be able to do 405 by the end of August and I'm confident in my grip to handle the axle bar.
550 Yoke carry, I've done over 400 on yoke before so it may take a few stop and go but I should be able to do this.
220 (each hand) farmer's walks, I already train farmer's walks with this weight so I'm alright here.
No prescribed weight on the barrel load yet (55 gallon drum filled with water to a certain weight, carry 40' and load on platform), but for now I'm going to assume 150 and train with that.
I changed my cardio to more short bursts as I don't want to overdo the long cardio and lose strength again. Today I did 5 sets of 1 minute jump ropes and then 3 down and back sand bag sprints (75 pound sandbag).I'm an introvert trying to be an extrovert.
