Close Grip Bench Press Tempo for Size?

I usually lower the weight for two to three seconds then explode up. Would it be better to just lower it quickly and explode or am I doing it right. This is for size, not strength.

Explode and then bring the weight back slowly is the general rule for hypertrophy.
