I'm hoping I can get some balance and normalcy back while on the cruise. It will at least be nice to not have to go to work for a while.
I may have scared myself out of one of my self destructive coping mechanisms. And since my second one makes the first one more difficult to recover from, I need to get a handle on it ASAP also.
I apologize if you're not on FB and have no clue what I'm talking about. Feel free to add me ********.com/Sophie41

Update
Back from the cruise, and now I'm sick. Temperature was over 102 yesterday morning. I was tempted to go to the ER but didn't. Fever is gone but still just feel like crap. Called out sick from work tonight. Hopefully the extra couple days of no work is enough to get me through my marathon work schedule next week.
I did manage to get some workouts in on the cruise:
3/25
bike
30 minutes
~5 miles
130 calories
122 av
152 max
3/26
DB seated military press 15x8x8
DB Upright row 15x8x8
DB Bench Press 20x8x8x8
DB curls 10x8x8
DB triceps extension 20x8x8
seated cable row 42.5x8x8
lat pull down 60x8x8
3/27
bike
30 minutes
5.4 miles
124 calories
119 av
129 max
3/29
horseback riding
3/31
volcano "hike"
3 miles each way
2,100 ft elevation change one way
~2.5 hrs to climb
I say "hike" because it was more mountain climbing/bouldering at parts than hiking. Literally using roots and rocks to pull myself up. The view was amazing though!
I'll eventually have pictures on my website and post a few here with the link. They're already up on the FB page and they're public.
Hopefully I'll be back in the world of the not sick sooner rather than later.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343

Noooo, not the bubonic plague again!! Feel better, the gym misses you.
Oh I hope you have some volcano tour pics! My favorite tv show of all time "I Shouldn't Be Alive" (about people getting lost in jungles/deserts and surviving chit) had an episode about this guy who went sightseeing at a volcano by himself at night. I swear this dude is the stupidest person alive, srs. He gets lost going back to the car which is a couple MILES away, and yeah of course you're gonna get lost because it's completely dark out! He passes up the car in the middle of the night and keeps walking and ends up like 10 miles in the other direction. What a moron. So he has to survive on this baron volcano for like a week desperately trying to find water and walking through shards of volcano rock which are slicing up his feet and legs. That episode legit makes me mad every time I see it due to the shear stupidity of this guy. And he has a couple kids, that guy is responsible for other human beings - WTF?!!Current PRs:

Started an antibiotic today, so hopefully I'm good to go to the gym next week.
I have some pictures from the "hike" but not many. I had to put my camera away as it was getting beat to sh!t dangling from my wrist. That's one reason I want to do it again. I want more pictures! Google has some great pictures, but I want my own.
Oh hell no! No volcano hikes at night for me! There are CREATURES out there!!Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343

I was drinking orange juice like crazy! Just crazy how fast it came on.
It probably took 2 weeks until I was back to 100%. It would have probably took less time if the second week I wasn't working 68 hours.
Hi! I'm going back in November
Hello!!
I'm still among the living, honest. No working out still. Working a ton. Still trying to figure out how to fit workout out in to my crazy days. It always works on paper, but not in practice.
Good news being the house stuff is (hopefully) coming to a close. Just waiting for it to hit the web that it's two separate addresses so I can schedule the inspection. Then I can sell the one. Yay! If that doesn't happen by next Monday, I'll call and ask how long it takes.
As stated above, I'll be going back to St. Kitts in November and hope to do the volcano "hike" again so need to train. At least I know what I'm training for. Considering the time of year, there may not be many people interested, or capable, so it might get canceled. That would truly bum me out. BUT, I'm gong again in March of 2020, so . . .Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343

Great to hear the house situation is making progress. Volcano hike sounds awesome, I hope they get enough people to go. I wonder if they ever get halfway into one of those and have people freak out or get stuck because they're not in good physical condition. "Sorry but we can't carry you out, we're leaving you here." Lol, no, they probably have some badass off road vehicle that can come out there.

Hello? This thing still on?
No, I have no worked out in the interim. The counselor I was seeing back in February did not work out and ended up making me worse in some ways. For the record, never tell someone who's depressed and suicidal that they're a burden and people are probably avoiding them. It's just not a good idea.
That being said, I've managed to stay out of the psychiatric hospital, mostly because I know what not to say. I'm pretty sure my treatment is aware that I'm not being truthful given the looks that they give me, but without my admitting to certain things, they can't really do anything. It was pretty close one day when my doctor told me she didn't want me going home alone. I ended up with her cell phone and instructions to contact her over the weekend.
I'm on enough psych meds that I've gained ~20 lbs and it will not come off no matter how little I eat. They're even trying to adjust my meds so I can lose weight and it's still not coming off. I had to buy new scrub pants and new underwear. I really need some new tops too but I can't afford a whole new wardrobe.
That's as much as I'll say on here. I really am trying to get back to the gym. I'm just failing miserably.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343

Good to see you Sophie! Hope to see you more often on here, you're one of my favorite journalers.
Is it an issue of not enough time or not having motivation to get in there? They say motivation is not extremely useful since it tends to come and go, but discipline and building healthy habits will get you there. Easier said than done I'm sure but maybe try switching up your habits. (Oh man I dunno if I'm spelling that right, just to be clear I'm not telling you to go out and get a wardrobe of nun head wraps. ) So maybe say ok I'm going to go to the gym 2 times this week. Doesn't matter what days, but give yourself a deadline between Monday and Sunday to fit in two gym visits, and build from there. Put it in your phone or calendar. I do that with a lot of stuff. I put a note in my phone to clean the house for 20 minutes every day, and since I see it on there annoying me I'm like arrgghhh ok ok, fine, I'll do it for only 20 minutes! It gets things done quick, house is clean AF now and it's never to the point where I go "oh chit, I gotta clean the entire house, this is going to take all day!" BTW, fuk dishes and laundry, I swear they multiply like bunnies. I'm only one person, how do I have so many dishes and laundry ALL THE TIME?!! Lmao, I could not even imagine the horror of all that if you had six people living in one household.Current PRs:

It would if I could bring myself to do it. I have days I don't want to get out of bed, let alone get dressed for the gym, drive there, etc. It's a work in progress. Very slow progress.
I keep trying to get to the gym. I just keep failing.
Neither really. I'd LOVE to get back in the gym, I'm just too depressed and indifferent to everything to really care. As I said above, sometimes getting out of bed is a challenge. I don't have energy, I'm hardly eating anything, and I just don't care.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343
