Hello all. I am 32 yrs old. Was hard into working out for about 5 or 6 years straight 5 days a week. Then got hurt at work. Got prescribed hard core pain meds got hooked on them.for about 18 months. And just haven't had the drive or motivation to get back into it. It just seems so hard to even try and I just give up. Need some serious help here. I love working out and the way it makes me feel. But every time I try its just so hard

Imagine your life through the sands of an hourglass. It is slowly slipping away, and make yourself think that you're not really living but actually dying instead. With each passing day another 24 hours dissolve from your entity as a human being, you're left with less and less time to contend with in this world.
Whenever you feel unmotivated and lazy, just know that one day your being won't be around anymore, and anything you might have done with the sole purpose of pleasure was just a result of your brain's chemicals making you do that thing.
Look at yourself through the lens of the universe, of nature, and figure out if what you're doing whenever you feel unmotivated and lazy is the right thing to do. Don't let your feelings, and more importantly your ego dictate how you live your life. Look at yourself not through yourself, but through the eyes of planet Earth if Earth were to have eyes. Then you'll realize your finite being, and the bitter fact that nothing we do really matters, so we might as well just do the most we can, and forget what our brain is telling us.
