I'm trying hard to get into the best shape of my life. Actually, I want to surpass that. Right now I'm kind of new to keeping a regular workout routine and schedule, so I'm finding it difficult, but I'm not giving up. I was hoping that I could find some valuable information here. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this! I truly appreciate you.

Hey there! I just joined the site a few days ago and I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Cole, I'm 25 years old. Ever since I was born, I've been dealing with low muscle tone. What that means is that I have to work to gain even a normal amount of muscle; and the minute I stop working for more then a few days, I lose a lot of progress. I joined the site in the hopes that I can get some help when it comes to figuring out which workouts will work best for my body. In the hope that I can change my life style (for good this time) and become a good role model for my nieces and nephews.

Hello! My name is Johnathan and I am 25 years old. Been off and on at the gym since I was 16 and used to be fairly active. I am trying to start a career in policing or military, but have gotten seriously out of shape working customer service & retail. I live in a small town and the closest gym is an hour drive. Joined the site in hopes of being able to turn my life around and get some tips on building myself up without equipment. I used to do alot of hiking so my legs are in much better condition than my upper body lol. Please feel free to contact me as I need all the support and advice I can get as I try to change my life around.

Hi. I'm Mike. I'm 31, live and work in NYC, and been away from a gym for so long I can't even remember. Just got out of a LTR because, in short, I wasn't taking care of myself in all manner of ways and she just had nothing left to give. It's been a blessing in a way, giving clarity to everything I need to do. A big part of which is taking care of my body, for my own health and because it's just the right thing to do for your partner. I wanna be sexy for my SO, whoever it is the future.
But, I've not the faintest idea where to start. Not with my diet, not with what gym to go to, what routine to do, how to do the lifts, any of it, and it's a bit overwhelming. So here I am, looking for a bit of knowledge and guidance. Maybe even a lifting buddy? I'm in NYC, live in Queens, work in Midtown and Chelsea, and yeah. That's all I got. Ready to do this.

Hello people. I am 26 years old, 1.85m tall. 2 years ago I decided I need to change my life when I started to see three digits on the scale. Got to around 84 kg but rebounded and I was 96ish this June. Got back to swimming, started to have a lot healthier diet and I am 83 again. Now I want muscle definition and less fat%.
Cheers!

Hey all. Long time lurker, finally got around to registering. I was a skinny athlete as a kid, then as the years went on, so did the pounds. I went through adulthood on and off (mostly off) with weight loss and workout routines. Four years ago at age 53, I hit my highest weight at 6'6" and 270 pounds, with medical complications from obesity setting in. Over the next year and a half, I lost 75 pounds (via a reasonably sensible/sustainable diet and moderate calorie deficit) and got back into the gym. I've been maintaining/recomping for the last 2 1/2 years, so currently I'm 57 years old, 203 pounds and somewhere around 16-17% BF. I lift and run 2-3 times a week, and mix in lots of walking, some cycling and swimming. No ambitions to be a bodybuilder or powerlifter - at this point I'm perfectly happy to maintain/improve a reasonable level of leanness/fitness and wage war against Father Time.

Hey everyone. Thought I'd say hi. I'm 25 y.o. turning 26 next month. I'm about 220lbs at the height of 5'6" I've never really been into much sports and the most active and fit I have ever been was about 5 years ago when I tried boxing for 2 months. My lifestyle has been quite stagnant and used to drink a lot of beer and smoke close to a pack a day. I'm looking into becoming healthy now and changing my lifestyle. Been sober for 2 months now and have since quit smoking on Aug 12.

Hey guys, I'm one of those guys with an on-again-off-again relationship with the gym. I decided to go back and try to get serious with a personal trainer. Figured if I'm financially invested in this I may as well go. Hopefully I won't drop off the face of the earth like I've done so many times before!

Hey guys, I’m 30 male and 6’2 285lb. Getting back into lifting for fitness and weight loss. My current goal is to just workout consistently, then hone in on weight loss and muscle building. My ideal body type would be a bodybuilder. Just purchased a power cage and 300lb Olympic barbell set. It has been great so far! I work out every other day doing the stronglifts 5x5. Glad I finally joined!

Hey everyone! I am excited to join this community. I am going to be 34 this week and I am a mostly stay at home mom. I am 5'3" 115 lbs. On paper, I should have a great figure, but to look at me you would probably guess I weigh more. I am just a flabby little couch potato. I have plenty of time and opportunity for exercise, but I let perfectionism ruin it for me. I feel like if I am not doing everything perfectly, then I may as well give up. My goal here is to work on consistency rather than perfection.

Hey guys - new to this site. Got into lifting through a couple of friends who taught me the ropes and I've been in love with it ever since. Goal is currently to get stronger in the 3 big lifts and to reach 130 pounds. Biggest thing I love is watching myself improve, and becoming more confident and centered. Looking to reach the next level so I'm here to learn more!

Hey everyone,
Brand new to the site and a first-time poster. 5 1/2 months ago I was just over 300 lb as my nickname indicates and through utilizing the ketogenic diet (well modified version of) I've been able to drop myself down to 220 lb.
I'm now off of Keto and going hard in the gym around four to five times a week. I find myself struggling to see muscle development as well as reducing the amount of fat in the midsection. While I do look significantly smaller overall and I can feel muscle growth in my upper body and legs I am extremely unsatisfied with everything from my hips to my chin.
I also have a fair amount of loose skin which my doctor has said we'll probably need to be surgically removed. I thought I would join this forum looking for some advice and guidance for those who have either been in my position or know how I can get rid of the stubborn stomach and chest fat.
Im 30 years old (31 on Monday but im holding onto 30 as long as I can) and 6 foot 4.
Thanks in advance.

Good day to all!
Getting into fitness for the first time in my adult life after having my leg operated on to increase mobility. 8 years out of action; looking to turn into many many years of healthy living! Up with the dawn, on with the lifts, down with the fat, up with the strength.
All the best to you all, whatever your goals may be.

Hello,
For the past year I've been trying too get back to a healthy weight after having quite a serious drug addiction. I'm 187cm and I weighed 65kg at the time. Since then i've put on 10kg. For a while I was still battling with addiction. My home gym consisted of a kettle bell. I joined a gym yesterday because I have more confidence. I'm from the UK nice too meet you all
I'll upload photos on my profile as i cannot attach here which seems a little strange as I'm supposed to be introducing myself.
Thanks,
Tom

Hey everyone, my name is Nolan, I'm 6ft and weigh about 240lb right now. My goal is to drop down to 200lb by july. I'm really new to the world of fitness and exercise so I decided to come sign up on a few forums so I could get into discussions and get tips on how to better myself. I've started training MMA and I go to a regular gym as well for supplementary cardio and weights. If anyone has some good tips and advice that I could use I would appreciate it. Thanks for reading

Hello
I'm 43,names Jason. My whole life I've struggled with my weight. When I was a kid I was short and fat and as an adult my weight has yo-yoed due to stress eating. Needless to say no matter where my weight has been, in my mind, I still see myself as that overweight kid and Ive never felt comfortable in my own skin. I let myself get back up to 235lbs,probably doesn't sound like alot to most guys, but I'm 5'10" and I have small joints and thin bones. I've been training again and have managed to drop down to 205lbs so far. My profile pic is me at 175lbs. and my wife said I was too thin, she says I'm too thin at 205 😆 I'd like to build muscle but have a relatively low bf% by summer. I'm tired of being skinny fat by the time warm weather comes around every year.

Hey everyone! I’m a 27 year old infantryman in the army. I will be medically retired soon do to a spinal injury that restricts my motion and causes a great deal of pain. I’m trying to get back in to lifting, but finding a way to do this safely and provide the results I’m looking for has been difficult. I’d appreciate any help/advice. Thanks!
