Also, there are a lot of things far more important to your results. The first two, above everything else combined, are that whatever you do in the gym, you do it consistently over time...and you track your food/nutrition daily. Everything. QUOTE]
Thanks! I'll ask him about whey protein too.

Hi, I'm Chris - I've started lifting weights again after an interval of many years. I started working out in my early 20s and have done it off and on throughout my life. I've got very average genes and asymmetrical abs! I started to put a lot of weight during lockdown which was depressing as hell. So I hired a personal trainer and lost 15kg. I'm currently struggling with a rotator cuff injury :-( but I'm trying to work around this as best I can.

Time to make them Gains.
Hey All,
It's been a while since I really trained for gains and physique and power endurance. I remember good days back home in an old gym reading up on Arnie and learning how to compound and isolate and make big changes. They bring back really great memories with good buddies that kept eachother pumped up and training hard after school. It was a while ago.
So time to get back on the program, might start with a little big-beyond-belief work. See where it goes, super excited to find a new community and meet some brothers on the path in my city.
Over n Out,
430am

hi! I'm Keira.
Hi,
I'm new here. I'm 37, I've barely exercised since community college way back in like 2002, excepting a few months randomly where I studied muay thai in a similar get-my-life-together effort, like, five years ago. In my former career I worked as a software engineer for six or seven years before hitting hard burnout. One of the factors aside from anxiety and depression was my inability to focus, which turned out to be ADHD Combined Type. I'm also obese, and struggling to lose weight. I feel like a combination of exercise and diet is going to help my body and mind a lot while I figure out what I'm doing with my life. My initial emphasis is going to be weight loss, then strength, coordination and agility. I'm a transgender woman and really good at this point at avoiding thinking about my body, or any kind of real world really beyond like software and tech and endless reams of fiction and whatever the latest distraction is, basically, but I have to deal with the world if I want to get it where I want it to be.
As far as who I am personally I'm basically a general purpose nerd struggling with mental health stuff and trying to get my life in some kind of order.
I guess I should add stats. Uhm, I'm 5'10", about 303? ish pounds (it used to be 330 but I haven't had a scale in a while, turns out I'm only 303 pounds, I guess). and 37, as I mentioned. I started a beginning exercise program on bodyfit about 6 days ago, and it is going alright so far.
Just to update, I stopped doing the plan I was doing on bodyfit, and doing something else. But I'm going to switch to all-pro next since it seems to be the go-to approach for weight loss.Last edited by keirablack; 07-19-2021 at 12:20 PM. Reason: added weight / height (rough as I don't have a scale)

Hi guys.
So it is 02:27 AM.
I just spent the last few hours watching videos on youtube. Of big people's success stories. One of them was from Jesse. This led me here to the forum. I sat here, staring at the products, staring at the plans. Gods I don't know where to start. Finally I found the introductions thread. Then I found the guts to start typing, and here we are. Guess I will just introduce myself.
34, massively depressed, overweight - fed up. I have been going on in my mind about getting back to being the active, happy, well built me. But the excuses one comes up with. In hindsight, it is disgusting. I am a smoker, and due to my absolute horrible state of mind and lack of motivation, my diet is equally horrible. Jesse and other's videos made me decide to give it a go. This would be it. The health issues has already popped up. Just sitting here typing I realize how I went down this road of obesity. I am basically in excess of 200kg, or 440 pounds. I cannot walk up the stairs. My feet and legs have
45 minutes have passed. I sat here crying. The things I eat comes from an excuse that I purchase the food I can on my limited budget.
I know what to do.Gods I have done enough research on the subject. But this is a cry for help. I need the motivation. Guidance, peptalks. Programs, advice. Anything anyone wants to throw at me. I am willing to go at it. While my budget and time is limited, I want to walk the road of successfully getting back to the healthy way of life. I will be loading pics and all that at some point. I feel like if I have myself in public eye, I can stick to this. That would be the first step, I reckon, standing up, reaching out a hand and praying that I can make it.
Thank you for the opportunity to even just post this, and get it of my chest.
lol.just stared at the post button for another 20 minutes.

Hi everyone, my name is Pingu. I'm 5'10, 15 years old, 130lbs, and my goal is to greatly improve my strength and gain some weight. I was lifting consistently during 2018-2019, but not throughout the pandemic since the gym's been closed, obviously resulting in me being weaker (at least I didn't get fat LOL). I like gaming (Hotline Miami's my fav game atm), my border collie, playing electric guitar, reading (currently on The Fourth Industrial Revolution by Klaus Schwab), Linux, and listening to electronic music.
These were my old PRs that I had doing 5/3/1 (@ 110lb bodyweight):
Squat: 75x5
Bench: 50x8
Military Press: 35x5
Deadlift: 80x5
I hope to meet some great new people here, and make some new PRs soon!

Hello everyone! I am a ~155lbs, 5'9" man from Australia who begun lifting at the start of 2021 in order to shed a few pounds from Seroquel and quarantine weight gain. I lifted daily for a few months but stopped abruptly after some complications with cysts which forced me to quit for a few weeks while I healed. Since then I have struggled with getting back into it due to a lack of motivation. I don't have a scale but I estimate that I've lost around 5-10 kg since the end of last year by simply eating less, even though I have not exercised as much the past 2-3 months I'm still on track. I joined this forum a few months back but have not posted until now. Hopefully this isn't my last post and I end up getting to meet all you people!

Hi everybody. I'm 6 feet 26Yo at 185. I've skipped a lot of my meals growing up and was very underweight, There been times when I only ate a meal for 3-4 days. Around 2017 I started to notice that I need to take care of the situation (I was at 145 lbs). After working out for a year and half and force feeding myself, I was able to get myself to eat at least 1 meal and ideally 3 meals every day. However I noticed not only that my body weight hasn't improved, But I wasn't even able to keep my original 145 without forcing myself to eat and workout. Eventually I gave up around june 2018 and just accepted to live the rest of my life as a skinny person. By the end of 2018 I dropped all the way down 129lbs and that was a sad day. I never looked at the scale ever again. Now in 2021 I weighted myself and surprisingly I'm at 185. My guess is that during those 2 years my body was just repairing it's digestive systems instead of gaining weight and now it's much more responsive to what I eat and what exercise I do. My wish is to keep going up to 220 and then drop and stay around 190.

Hi everyone ! My names Axel, 21 y/o 5'8 155lbs. Started working out almost one year ago after I discovered Zyzz story. Started at around 130lbs and fell in love with the gym, it really amazed me what our body can achieve with a good training routine and proper nutrition. My acne fade away after I started to eat healthy and somehow my social skills improved ( it's probably because I'm more confident ). I'm still not where I want to be but I am forever chasing the aesthetic look. Forever mirin braah !!!

I've been lifting weights casually for a few years now I'm not "shredded" but I've got some muscle mass.
Before I get into what issues I *think* I have with my body can anyone here detect them?
I want honest feedback.
Not sure if my issues are real or in my head.
(Turns out you can't upload pics) wtf...
