The squat and the deadlift are the two best lower body exercises you can do. They should be a staple in any routine, or atleast a variation of them such as hack squats (the barbell kind), front squats, or cleans probably too. These will not only help build strength and mass in the legs, but also help with mass gains all over the body. This happens because when you do squats and deads, you are working the largest muscles in your body, releasing large amounts of growth hormone, contributing to overall mass gains. So if you want your chest to grow, do some squats.
