I tried to buy some ROT-8 handles last week, but they only had the green ones in stock. The black ones wont be back in stock till around mid March. The rep said they are flying off the shelves. They kept my order live, so once theyre in, Im getting some shipped to me. FINALLY!

Honestly, I came REALLY close to saying "screw it, Ive waited long enough, gimme the green", but I knew in a couple months out that green would stick out like crazy and drive me nuts! It sucks that I gotta wait till the middle of next month, but I just spent about a grand on attachments and stuff, so those should be trickling in in the meantime to keep me happy. But yeah man, I want those ROT-8s!

I have a few mag grips, nuetral medium and close grip overhand, plus the Rots, if I was going to add another it would be the wide grip, make sure to let us know what you think of it!
The Supra attachments look really cool. I'm not totally sure how they work though, never seen them first hand. I see that the angled grip revolves, but the angle of the grip is fixed, correct? Is this noticibly better then just having the cable attachment point rotate? Have you had these before, seem to remember you had one of the barbells but could be wrong
skrebs, I just checked, I paid $100 for the rot 8 and shipping, total cost was $140. The shipping was steep, I'm in Connecticut, frankly the handles are extremely well made and quality materials throughout, so priced really well considering, made the high shipping not as offensive. Very very happy with them.

I'm in the talks with Dean at BWTG on a custom lat assassin cable attachment (Thinking of doing neutral/angled/neutral for the grips and possibly adding globes to the outer portion of the attachment). I'll keep this updated on which features I decide to get.

Interesting, im wondering how much that winds up costing. I like Dean and his service is excellent. I was thinking of buying a cheap ebay/ anazon barbells4me multi bar, cutting the sleeves off, and welding a ring on it and turning it onto a lat attachment. The only thing that would make it worthwhile to custom make one for me would be if its curved back co the center is bowed enough to allow you to get additional range of motion.

Gains, that's a cool idea the extra ROM is always appreciated on these pieces, I imagine pulldowns and rowing from when attached to the low pulley would be optimal in a bowed version.
As for the piece I'll probably keep the attachment traditionally straight, but I might run the idea by Dean, not sure of the extra custom expense yet of my idea on the lat assassin, but here's some of my general ideas for it: Ol\ll/lO, O\ll/O, ll\ll/ll or just l\ll/l (the "O" being the 3" globe grips).Last edited by Deep-Voiced-One; 06-17-2017 at 05:08 PM.

Im curious how much you guys are willing to pay for these multi grip attachments. Ive been sitting on a drawn out design for a couple of years that I believe smokes anything on the market. I keep going back and forth on whether I want to put the effort into something like this. Seeing what others charge for their attachments though is what keeps me coming back to the idea. The number in my head would be about 150, and have widths of 6, 12, 18, 24, and 30 inches.
Its a somewhat simple design, but no one has even hinted at anything near it. I wont post pics or anything like that until I was ready to put it out. If I did do it, Id send a couple out to guys on here for their input, and the only reason I havent made one for myself is because I have a bunch of attachments already.
Feel free to give me your thoughts. Thanks.EQUIPMENT CREW VATO #72

Sold off some of my less used gear today and now thinking about adding some more cable attachments to the gym for use on my lat pull down/low row.
Current attachments I have are,
EliteFTS american multigrip attachment
Rogue monster grip triangle
Rogue triceps push down,
Mag medium Pronate
Titan triceps rope
Titan single revolving handle
I'd like to add a straight revolving bar for straight arm lat pulldowns and after that I was thinking of getting almost a full set of mag attachments and go with the wide grip, close grip pro and sup, and medium sup. For neutral medium grip i have my Elitefts attachment and rogue close grip attachment for close neutral. Should I pull the trigger on this or is there other attachments I should look at?[M]===[6] Mech6 Crew #33 [M]===[6]

As long as it's quality I am interested and coming from you I wouldn't expect anything less. Who are you thinking to get to build it? I have the rogue but am always interested in more. For me price really isn't an issue as I like to buy the little things while I wait to finish my new gym building.
Only thing I will say after using multiple bars like this and now using the rogue with knurled handles, I won't go back to simple powder coating. Even if I have to buy a cheap bar like a ob86 and cut it up, I will have knurled handles on all my bars now.I don't believe in deloading. Instead you should find someone at the gym, ask them to be your friend, once you are friends ask them to blind fold you, make sure not to look cheeky because otherwise they might get the wrong end of the stick. Then ask them to load the bar with a number between 2.5kg - 250kg, then blast out 4x10 reps. You gotta get past that mental block, deloads are a waste of time and you don't get any kudos from your new friend at the gym. Seeking: Hip Press

For me i am loaded with attachments, but something special that offered a unique angoe, grip, or other unique wat to work the muscle would be wirth spending money on. I really want something with a bow to it as i mentioned. Even a better idea is a lat assassin but with some simplified version of the mag or rot 8 palm grips. Maybe theres a way to make a similar shape without a lot of machining or labor. Resin mold or plastic.

I imagine the rot 8 tend to be least effective on a straight lat pull down correct? I don't have a functional trainer and imagine that's where they'd really shine.

Anyone ever order from Reps Direct before?
They have an interesting angled grip cable back bar, grips are knurled too. The attachment's expensive, but looks good. Anyone own this style attachment? Any pros, or cons? (The back bar attachment is at the bottom of the page)...
http://www.repsdirect.net/REPS/order_now.html
Update: So after further thinking and a bit of cable attachment internet browsing, I decided on the Reps Direct Back Bar attachment because it looks like a better shaped frame on the attachment as well as the flippable clip for the carabiner and has 8 different knurled grip angles, also it's made in the US as well. I'll share my thoughts on it when I receive and use the attachment.Last edited by Deep-Voiced-One; 06-21-2017 at 01:12 PM.

Quick update! I'm the first person to order their newly designed Back Bar Pro and will be receiving it in a gold powder coat with a T-Bar hook on the part where you would hook it to the carabiner and from what I see it looks like it has not only a pronated/supinated straight area, but an angled end too. I just received a confirmation e-mail and it looks sweet! The guy Joe that I ordered from is a cool dude and works with some of the top fitness models in the industry, he told me about the prototype's features and that the bar was tested on people between behemoths using it and fitness models and will try to get some vids of the fitness models using the attachment! Hahaha, I'll keep everyone updated when I receive this attachment.

Looks like EliteFTS also has this bar now.
I've seen this question asked before but can't remember where so I'm not sure if anyone answered it. For people who have the Mag attachments, if you buy a pronated grip attachment can it just be turned over to also be used as a supinated grip attachment? Any reason that someone would need both?

Pronated and supinated grips are different. You cannot flip the Mag bar from one to the other. If you look at the pics you will see that the grip is not symmetrical. It is tilted front to back, in addition to being twisted for pronated or supinated.
This is the equipment forum. You need all three in each size: pronated, supinated, and neutral.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

They didn't put the name, or video up for it yet. I just called at the right time and was the first to purchase the first prototype bar attachment at the same price as the one listed, from what I seen on the site it appears to have all three angled handles, but with the new addition of straight grips on the outer sides/ends and in black powder coat.
Mine will have one set of neutral on the inner/narrow most part, two angled on mid and outer, and the ends appear to have not only the straight grips, but are angled towards the ends like a traditional angled lat bar, or it might double as T-bar wide grip angle, where the carabiner hole is, there is a collar to slide a barbell into it to use the attachment for T-bar rows as well, in gold powder coat.
I'll send pics as they arrive and my impressions of it, but to all the gear hogs be patient cause the bar will take around three weeks to be ready and arrive to me.

By the way DVO, I did rig my football bar the other day and tested it out. Might just be because EDGE doesn't have very step angles on their handles, but it felt near identical to the EliteFTS Swiss cable attachment I owned a couple years back. I was hoping to feel a sweet squeeze between my shoulder blades when going supinated, but it just wasn't there. That's pretty awesome that it can double as a landmine handle, that would certainly help justify the added price over the alternatives!!!

I use it with a dual cable pull down fir pull downs. It feels great, the best position being a high start point very close together, then as you pull diwn it takes a divergent widening path. I have used the functional trainer to start the pull down, but even woth adjustable arms the pulleys dont get as close, maybe 20" aoart, feels ok but not perfect.
I have tried joining the handles with some chain and using them on a low row, not ideal, i think this would be the same with the pull down. Interstingly i stole A7's idea of one arm rows with it, using a bench rest inclined to support my hand and the cable coming mire from in front and not as low as would be typical, my back is still sore. The motion path the handoes allowis a lot of the benifit so i think one handed if not using a dual cable is the best optio woth Rot-8

Urban, by supinated I assume you are meaning the part where the rackable straight portion of the bar is, or collars are, am I right? (That was a good idea and you have the angled handles vs. Just the neutral on your EFS Swiss attachment you had).
I noticed that Elitefts now appears to have a Back Bar of their own, even before shipping it's more expensive than the Back Bar Pro Reps Direct sells. I had previous gift money so I actually paid even less for the attachment and got the extra features, so I'm definitely content with my choice, I almost went custom with the Lat Assassin from BWTG and they're great to deal with as well, but I'm glad I browsed around and got some more variety with this piece.Last edited by Deep-Voiced-One; 06-23-2017 at 11:05 AM.

Yeah, you can do palms facing up (supinated) or palms facing down (pronated) with the angled handles giving you variety. That's a large reason why I like football over swiss in general. I'm thinking about permanently rigging something in the middle of my edge bar to use it on the lat pulldown, it's lighter to begin with so it wasn't that bad to setup and its free. I used chains for the test but I think I could run a bolt through the middle and create a stable connection point.

Oh I see, I was aware of the angled grips on the football bar vs. the neutrals on the swiss, but at first when you said supinated/pronated I thought you were referring to gripping the outer sides of the bar (palms forward) additionally during pulldowns, I got you now.
Interestingly I noticed that there are two different style football bars Edge's slim squared version and Reps Direct almost round/oval type design.
As for saving your money and rigging up the bar as an attachment (which is cool), definitely send some pics of the setup.
