strong this i had to watch the tower of joy scene like 4 times before i figured out that the baby was jon snow. it was kinda confusing then i thought the daddy was ned and that he had sexual relations with his sister and that they had to keep it hidden from robert because he thought incest was groce. didn't realize that it was rhaegar until i came on the misc afterwards

If you watched the "previously on" they showed the discussion in the crypts about Rhaegar choosing and "stealing" Lyanna. Pretty strong hint.

What purpose would that serve? You going to do the math all the way through the episode to make sure the timelines make sense? Nearly every scene is jumping back or forward in time.

I already knew of the RL=J theory since several seasons ago, but I am surprised so many people are coming to the conclusion Rhaegar is the father after S06E10.

How are non book-readers and people who don't read theories coming to Rhaegar? He's like never mentioned in the show besides the sansa/baelish scene and one scene with dany and barristan.

Are people actually remembering Rhaegar with that little info or are they just reading the conclusion online? It seems really obscure to me even after ep. 10. I'm frankly baffled that any casual watchers have a clue about that.

We heard many times the war started cuz Rhaegar chose Lyanna and "kidnapped her" we heard plenty of highly intelligent people say they're not sure if kidnap is the right term to use.

She's found in a tower guarded by Rhaegar's best friend and another Kingsguard...far away from the king & prince who they were sworn to protect. Doesn't take a giant leap that he was the father whether via rape or consensual sex.

It's obviously not Robert's kid considering we hear her whisper "Robert will kill him if he finds out"

Who's left? One of the Kingsguard who were guarding her...who are sworn to not have any kids?

Just easier if you just go with the flow and understand that the time skips let us get to the meat and potatoes of the show and leave boring chit like people traveling out of the show.

Look at it this way....take Arya's scene.

We went from the end of her arc in Bravos in episode 8 to her being at the twins in episode 10 taking out Walder. If they got rid of time skips we'd still see her traveling on that ship she booked passage on. Yay...what an exciting scene watching Arya on a boat staring out the window of her cabinet while she's fining recipes for her pies.

Exactly. I understand that some people can't follow every detail or notice everything on first viewing but I struggle to see why people can't accept that stuff in this show happens over varying time lengths.

It never seems to bother people watching The Walking Dead, and that show jumps back and forth in time all the time.

But this is the best part of the books:

Last two episodes definitely made up for what was an otherwise dull season. If the remaining episodes are even half as good as the season finale then I am all aboard the hype train. Music was on point last episode. Probably one of the best GoT episodes.
