Yeah, then she smothered him with a pillow. Seems a fair parallel.
And as someone else said, in the show Olly killed the redhead not Jon.
Dany, Tyrion, and Bran will be the dragon riders (Bran through warging).
I wouldn't call her "such an obvious character" at all.
Both Martin and D&B have made a concerted effort to make the reader/viewer believe that Jon is AA reborn. Dany would be quite the surprise to just about everyone at this point.Last edited by Ice-9; 05-04-2016 at 09:09 PM.

readImage.jpg"An independent woman is a contradiction in terms. For woman's chief want is to feel that she is wanted. Therefore it is that with women, cruelty is more easily borne than coldness. Indeed, It is astonishing how much downright cruelty a woman will stand from the man she loves or has loved. What women admire is a subtle combination of forcefulness and gentleness. If a woman has to choose between forcefulness and gentleness, always she will sacrifice the latter." - Arnold Haultain

That's the point. Arya's conflict right now is giving up her identity and her need for vengeance. I STRONGLY believe that she's going to realize she can't let go and will abandon the Faceless Men to go back to Westeros. The fact that she hid Needle proves this.
Based on filming reports/trailers/etc we know there's going to be an acting troupe in Braavos. They'll be playing the roles of the Lannisters, Ned Stark, etc--the people involved in the War of the Five Kings. My prediction is this play they put on is truly "history written by the victors" and will paint the Lannisters in a positive light and the Starks in a negative light. This will be the catalyst that drives Arya to abandon the Faceless Men to go back to Westeros at the end of this season.
The preview shows Tower of Joy so we'll definitely get Jon backstory next ep. Highly likely R+L=J will finally be confirmed. This theory has been around for 20 years.
That was because Lena Heady was pregnant. Natalie Dormer has already shown her teddies on the show
Would smash Nym though
lol because she killed him?
Jon didn't kill Ygritte but I think she's still close enough to serve the Nissa Nissa role. It's about making a choice to lose the one you love. That's what Jon did when he left her to return to the Night's Watch.
Another interesting point to remember: Tyrion killed the woman he loved
Tyrone Lannister
"The dragon must have three heads"
I don't think we'll have any single Azor Ahai
I think the most relevant part of the Azor Ahai prophecy that people forget about is the Ghost of High Heart's prophecy--the prince that was promised will come from the line of Aerys and Rhaella Targaryen.
-Dany fits
-Jon fits, assuming he's the son of Rhaegar
So we need a third. People have proposed Bran, but he does not fit the prophecy
-Tyrion could fit IF he is actually the son of Aerys, not Tywin. Also, he would be descended from Aerys but NOT Rhaella, so it's unclear if he fits the GoHH prophecy. Maybe just being Aerys' son fits, since Rhaella was his sister so they all have common ancestors. Also, the last episode showed his connection to the dragons, so there's that.
-Aegon--this assumes that he is actually the real Aegon. But the show has cut him out, so he can't be that important, right?
Tyrion Targaryen theory:
MATTYMISCER'S PREDICTION
-Azor Ahai/Prince that was Promised will "have three heads," aka be three people
-Dany is obviously the first. Her Nissa Nissa was Khal Drogo
-Jon will likely be the second. His Nissa Nissa was Ygritte.
-Tyrion is the third. His Nissa Nissa was Shae. He will be a secret Targaryen (this may or may not be explained in the show), his connection to the dragons was shown in the most recent episode. They now "know" him as the one who freed them. He also designed a saddle for Bran in season 1 which could be major foreshadowing to possibly creating dragon saddlesLast edited by MattyMiscer; 05-05-2016 at 07:37 AM.

There's a pretty big theory that Daario is actually the leader of the Sons of the Harpy. Not sure if I buy into it though.
I wonder if Daario will kill Jorah when he realizes he has psoriasis
Thanks brah, I nerd out HARD on this stuff for some reason. Check out this thread too: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...26501&page=151
More book discussion, don't have to be as careful about posting spoilers

Seems like they're just killing people to kill people this season. Good actors being wasted. Roose's death was pretty anti-climactic. Same with the Dorne fellows (that storyline is pointless). No real benefit to the story, just offing people willy nilly.

Not true at all. Roose has spent seasons 5 and 6 as the voice of reason for House Bolton, constantly warning Ramsay of the consequences of his actions. Now that he's out of the way it allows Ramsay free reign to start a war and run House Bolton right into the ground. Roose's death sets the storyline up for a showdown in the North.
As far as Dorne, yeah it sucks the way they killed off Doran, Trystane and Areo. Totally wasted those characters/actors. However, it wasn't random. D&D wanted to simplify the storyline a lot so it takes up less screen time. They achieved that, I just think they've over simplified it now.
At the end of the day, I think Dorne will support a Targaryen restoration. Rather than showing Doran working towards this end in secret, I think they're just trying to use Ellaria's hatred of the Lannisters as a simpler reason.
Book spoilers:Spoiler!
By giving Ellaria control of Dorne (no matter how inexplicable that is), it provides a reason for Dorne to fight alongside team-Targaryen against the Lannisters. Once Danaerys finally lands in Westeros, Ellaria will join her cause purely as an opportunity to destroy the Lannisters. Dorne's motivation against the Lannisters is no longer the death of Elia and her children 17 years ago as it is in the books. In the show, they're using the death of Oberyn as a new excuse for Ellaria and the Sand Snakes to hate the Lannisters.
Yeah, I totally hate what they're doing with Dorne. Everything about the Sand Snakes is fuking awful. The Dornish motivation makes less sense this way. But the overall story line at least makes some sense if you realize why they're doing it this way--to save screen time.Last edited by MattyMiscer; 05-05-2016 at 11:30 AM.

He has to be. There would be no reason to mention 'the man who killed him' and the fact that they couldnt find a body and not showing the killing blow for one of the most important characters (and best actors) in the series. If they wanted us to forget about him they'd just drop the subject the way they did with the dogs in E1 lol.
