The series is more light hearted the DBZ, more like DB to be honest. I hope they kick things into high gear with this next tournament though. One thing that's interesting is Goku exceeding Hit's "Time-Leap" technique. Beerus showed concern when Goku combined Kaioken with SSB.

Luled pretty hard at "sagging breasts". I guess they spent so much time drawing up Goku vs. Hitt that they decided to mail it in on the non-combat episode - probably the 2nd worst looking DB episode ever but w/e.

Will be interesting to see Future Trunks again, I think it can offer some cool possibilities as far as villains go. Almost feel like it needs to be from outside this universe for it not to be the normal recycled plot line we see every antagonist. Hopefully they don't mention Trunk's "multiple timelines" theory again. Was the worst spin on time travel of all time I think.

We already know the villain of the Future Trunks arc, a character called "Black Goku".. which is obviously an evil goku

Haven't watched the newest episode but last week's episode's animation quality was absolutely horrendous. Not really a big fan of how 'comedic' Super is turning out to be. Doesn't feel serious whatsoever. Everything just feels like a joke. Vegeta used to be my favorite character and now he's just a submissive pushover 'yes beerus-sama' we cannot anger beerus-sama!!' just lol.

The context is completely different brah. They've haven't had a serious threat yet, the earth hasn't really been at stake or anyone's life. Wait until they get a real villain and I'm sure things will get serious.

Next week going to be crazy, never thought we'd see another Goku vs. Vegeta fight.

My only concern is that I think the special water form is just base Vegeta and not him with his God power level. In the preview it looks like Goku fights him in base form. And I wonder, if that's true, if Goku and Vegeta are THAT much stronger that SSJ3 peasant Gotenks in base form just from training - that's pretty crazy, but I'm happy about it.

I just don't get why they didn't show them sparring when they trained in the room, or with Whis. That would have made more sense than wasting a short arc just to make an excuse for them to fight

Really cool ep, and that ending - probably one of my favorite Super eps. Granted I couldn't tell what they were saying, but this had a very different feel from normal DB - and the ending looked like a different anime almost. If Vegeta would have died would have been a top 10 episode, but I give them credit for at least tricking me into believing it.

Yes but that wouldn't even be necessary.

Goku already has enough power in this form.

Yeah I think Vegitto would stomp him out at this point. They try to make it clear that they will never fight together again, but I wouldn't be shocked if they fuse down the road for the villain of the Future Trunks arc or something.

What I would like to see, but won't happen, would be a really dark, dystopian arc. Like we saw it in the preview, but I don't want Trunks to come back to our present and everything to take place in our universe.

It would be cool if he takes Goku + Vegeta + whoever into the future, and there is some kind of slowly developing insurgency against Dark Goku and whoever is on his side in the future - rather than a constant fighting/new power up scenario we see every time. An actual story that doesn't have fighting someone and powering up every other episode is pretty much the one thing DBZ has never had. The only problem is it doesn't fit in with the idea that they are all super humans, that they would do anything but fight constantly - there is undoubtedly a way to do it that would be epic. We need some deaths to go down early on.

I'll be mega disappointed if the preview was an isolated instance of that "style" and it goes back to straight DB. I love DB but it would be so bad ass to see something new. If they don't go to the future, one of the YT videos I watched speculated that the dark force follows Trunks back in time and then infests Goku (so we don't have good Goku to fight black Goku) in the present. If they did this, and made Goku ACTUALLY evil (no ****ing around, murders Goten immediately etc.) and launched something along those lines with Goku running a totalitarian world government and the Z fighters working to figure out how to bring him back since they can't man fight him (other than maybe Vegeta) - would be epic.
