Some of you are delving way to deep into this when they literally just told you at the end of the episode what is going on

So now the plot isn't to train to get stronger to go fight them again, it is to stop zamasu present time from getting and using the super dragon balls.

GREAT arc right now. This season especially has been awesome.

Awesome episode.

Not really torn up over the power scaling as all trunks did was surprise block black then beat up zamasu who was likely just trolling to show off his immortality. Trunks using final flash makes sense and was cool.

The fight was so well done, the first half of the episode went by so quick. Glad vegeta got a good moment and even yajirobe. Also it looked like Vegeta was actually doing better vs SSJR then Goku before he got surprise stabbed.

Only complaint is how black and zamasu got hung up by the gas or whatever.

One of the best episodes of super though I would put the Goku v Hit episodes and the reveal of Black episode that started the arc higher

so zamasu wishes for immortality next episode it seems so most likely he would be the same power level as he was when he fought goku. super saiyan 1 goku destroyed him so ss2 trunks would be able to compete aswell

Its a different timeline and a different zamasu i believe. trunks timeline is also like 10-20 years into the future so zamasu would have been a lot stronger.

I don't think it's a different Zamasu. F. Trunks' timeline Zamasu wouldn't have hatred for Goku cuz Future Goku was dead for atleast 30 years so he never even met him, unless there'll be a huge plot twist where dead goku met him somehow or he knows about him. This is most likely present Zamasu who used the time ring to go to the future for whichever reason.

LOL at the complaining, this 2v2 fight scene was epic as fuk. If you question power scaling it won't make sense and DBZ has always been that way. Just accept it and enjoy it.

No it hasnt. Dragon Ball Z used to be ALL about power levels, and the difference in power between transformations was as clear as day. Thats the whole point of transforming into the next level, wrecking **** in a way that the previous transformation couldnt.

Goku was struggling against Zamazu, and Goku wasnt holding back here since Vegeta was about to die and **** was serious, yet Goku couldnt do ****. Then SSJ2 Trunks comes, kicks the living **** out of Rose Black who literally toyed with his father, then goes to fight against Zamasu and clearly dominates him...

A SSJ2 SHOULD NOT be at the same level of a God form, no matter what. Gohan was supposed to be the chosen one, and with his SSJ2 full power unlocked form wouldnt even be able to scratch Trunks.

Im not complaining, since Trunks is literally the **** and im a fan, but still, kind of hard to follow up with this poverty logic. At this point im expecting Picollo to come out of nowhere and destroy Whis lol

My guess is that the present timeline Zamasu will go after the super dragon balls, the Z fighters will try to stop him from becoming immortal, they will fail and they will have to fight against present day Zamasu and Black. They will end up fuked up, so they wont be able to go to the future to fuk up the future timeline Zamasu and Black, thats when Whis and Beerus will pay them a visit and wreck em

With regards to Trunks, I actually wondered if Goku and Vegeta's god ki in Super Saiyan Blue puts them at a disadvantage against Zamasu and Black, and that's why Trunks was able to stand up to them, as was Goku when he only went Super Saiyan 2. It's just a theory, but otherwise yeah it's ridiculous to think he could stand up to either one of them. It's also ridiculous to think that 2 villains this absurdly powerful wouldn't be able to just completely blow away the cities where humanity is

But then again, DB has always been full of plotholes, especially in regards to power level, as stated above. We don't watch for a coherent plot. This was otherwise a fantastic episode. Super only came into its own after it finished up the Battle of Gods and Frieza stuff. This saga in particular has been absolutely great. Zamasu is the first villain who actually has a point, Future Trunks is awesome, and we even got a vintage Yajirobe save

But I can't help but notice how the animation loses an absurd amount of detail in wider shots. There was a time when Zamasu's facial features completely disappeared. Sure, he was in the background, but it's been pretty noticeable all the same. It's not as bad as early DBS, but it's still not where it should be in my opinion, and I'm not even that particular on animation usually

Hey, at least it made sense, unlike the bull**** we are getting now. No fukin point in Goku going SSJ3, then SSG, then SSB, when fukin Trunks at SSJ2 can fuk him up lmao. Not sure how you can say DBZ was a kids manga with no explanation to anything when this shis is 10x worse lmao.

While it obviously crossed my mind that it was strange Trunks wasn't immediately eviscerated - I liked it. That was some of the only legit 2v2 / 2v1 action in the history of Dragon Ball and it was bad ass, I hate waiting these weeks to find out what is going on. I'd imagine Zamasu wishes for immortality but it doesn't answer where Black came from. Oh the gas thing was lul but w/e, gives us a reason to think people besides Goku and Vegeta can contribute to these things.

Goku and the gang have been defeated by Zamasu (the now immortal apprentice Kaioshin of Universe 10) and Goku Black (a mysterious warrior who looks just like Son Goku), but for the time being have returned to the present after being getting by Mai and Yajirobe. Meanwhile, present day Zamasu visits the all-knowing Zuno to ask him about the Super Dragon Balls.

Since the future Zamasu had on a pair of Potara, which only Kaioshin are qualified to wear, Goku and co figure that the Universe 10 Kaioshin Gowasu’s life is in jeopardy. They immediately head for Universe 10.

Dragon Ball Super Episode 60 Back to the Future: Goku Black’s Identity Revealed October 2nd

After finding proof that the present day Zamasu has murdered Gowasu, the God of Destruction Beerus destroys Zamasu. With present Zamasu destroyed, the future should be safe, but future Trunks still feels uneasy, and goes to the future to check things out.

Well it makes sense. Since universes are mirrored, universe 10 is the same as universe 3 (if I remember correctly), so maybe there is another zamasu over in that universe with the same outlook? Idk that almost seem too farfetched though.

Damn. I was tempted to read the spoilers but I saw someone do me a nice favor by saying "huge" spoilers. I'm gonna avoid them for now, and I'll have to stay away from this topic for a little while. I might get bored one day and decide to spoil myself, but this saga has been so good that I want to have surprises since we have actually had plot twists and mysteries for more entertainment.

Btw, I'm happy that the music introduced in the Future Trunks saga is actually good overall, and DBS has a much more respectable soundtrack than the Japanese version of DBZ. With the Funimation dub, Faulconer's team (and it really was a team of musical composers not just Bruce Faulconer) made every other Dragon Ball soundtrack pale in comparison for me and apparently a decent amount of other people. I still get goosebumps with some DBZ scenes with the Faulconer music. On a different note, I'm basically counting down the days till I can play Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 now that it is a little more than 1 month away. DBS Trunks and Black among others will be new playable characters.
