Because there are many other things I would rather eat.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

If you're eating quinoa for the omega 3 or SFA content I've got bad news for you.

Because I actively avoid anything that hipsters are into.

Hard to take the taste of that stuff. My mil makes it because she grew up eating it and hers isn't that bad. She makes it like a fried rice with sliced steak. So I'll pass on the quinoa cool train.

Eating small amounts of it, sure. Not eating chicken and rice? LOL

Its OK, I use it in one dish with black beans, pan fried diced pork country ribs, and raw veggie/pico topping.
Like most grains with enough pork fat and onions its pretty good. I prefer pasta or potato for inherant flavor qualities though. The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl

For me, the value just doesn't add up. Quinoa costs upward of $5 a pound and doesn't provide nearly enough protein to be considered a main protein source. For the same price, I can get a pound of chicken and rice each, plus have some cash left over for some veggies to match the fiber.
Also, it's just not that great tasting.

Too much hassle when I'm the only one in the house that eats it. It was one thing when Target had those nice heat and eat bags but they've been discontinued.
