    Yeah it’s brutal for sure. And glad I didn’t pull a Garret Blavins and catch the flu 2 weeks prior. Granted he still hit some WR’s. :P

    8 weeks out so should be able to get back into swing.

    Surprised I hit rep pr. Third rep was grinder. But decided to try pause cause I recovered in 3 minutes. The 355 was heavy, grinder near lockout so skipped slingshot work.

    So decided to hit a top rep and follow it by x5x3. Hitting 585 squat feels awesome!! Throw on wraps and suit and 725 should be good to go!!

    Well I’ll need to pull conventional in the suit and see how it feels. Wanna hit 625 at meet for total. But you’ll see. Especially considering I’ve pulled 4 Days this week.

    As for bench. I moved grip in and tinkered with form. I think for raw purposes that heavy x3 and long pause will pay off. I could probably make the long pause a second at a meet and hit a PR.

    Thanks man! I’m happy that my lower geared days I can focus on singles and just get depth dialed in. and bench is coming along. Only 4 sessions in gear left and I’m just happy I don’t feel as lost as I did the first go around.

    The couple of weeks I’ve done the x10x3 I’m surprised at what my body gets out of it.

    First world problems.

    Gonna modify program so I can break in a new suit and so I can train balls out in gear and see if I can hit a 765/585/660 or 347.5/267.5/300 in kgs.

    I have that loose suit at a point where I can pull in it and the tight suit takes way too long to get into it and there’s a good chance there will only be one flight for that day. The tight one is 50 and the loose is 54 so ordered a 52. Also ordered a narrow stance cause I don’t wanna sit back so much and I’m doing great in my adipowers atm.

    So raw days will consist of x5x3 on squat and bench and gonna pull conventional x5x2.

    Gonna get into bench shirt today and follow the other week course. But will get into lower single ply for next two weeks and do knee sleeves and crack depth. So I’ll have two sessions with new squat suit and wraps.

    Also I didn’t forget about my goals list.

    Front Squat = 315x5
    Back Squat (Raw) = 585
    Squat (wraps) = 625
    Sumo TnG = 505x5
    Bench = 315x5x5
    Comp bench (raw) = 405
    Sumo (raw) = 635
    Change the sumo goal to a deadlift goal.

    All in all I’m still very happy. If you followed along last meet you probably saw I didn’t control the shirt all too well. But I feel a lot more in control now.

    Was a gamble with the new suit. But I like the narrow stance better. The 625’s were half squats (feeling groove and no wraps so no risk knee injury) but felt I was getting a hang of it to where I tried 675 full gear to feel it out. 2 inches high but for a first attempt I’ll take it!

    Can’t pull conventional so sumo it is. Never tried 635 EVER so I’ll make this a second attempt and go for that 300kg/660lb pull at meet.

    Since I haven’t had a lower single ply day in a while...............

    Well I’m going to be about 6 weeks out and since I bombed my first single ply meet I think it’s way better for me to get my game plan now and train it.

    MEET ATTEMPTS

    Squat

    1st 312.5kg/685lbs
    2nd 335kg/735lbs
    3rd 345kg/760lbs

    Opener being 100lbs over my raw best couple weeks ago. Really seems like a no brainer. No one lifts in AZ (especially equipped) so 3rd would be a new AZ squat record. Going to acclimate to 735 in next two sessions (3 Gear ones left total) and keep getting my raw numbers up.

    Bench

    1st 232.5kg/510lbs
    2nd 250kg/550lbs
    3rd 262.5kg/575lbs

    With that solid 505 bench day I know I have more in the tank and the 2nd I should be able to get to in training doing 3x3 2” then a touch like I’ve been doing. No one lifts again and 1st attempt is a AZ record.

    Deadlifts

    1st 270kg/595lbs
    2nd 290kg/640lbs
    3rd 302.5kg/665lbs

    This is the fun one to pick for. If I hit my 3rd squat and bench, then the opening 595 gets me the total AZ record. If not then all my second attempts will get it for me.

    If I hit all my 3rds it gives me a 909kg/2000lb total which just sounds cool to me as a newb of 3 years.

    Yes I’m severely outclassed compared to the elites. But we all gotta start somewhere and this is my 3rd year competing so some stupid AZ state records will be cool to me.

    That x2 on the 350 was my own stupidity. Messed around with my form (tried putting feet on bench) and felt weird going for that 3rd rep (where I hurt my back last meet) so just reracked at 2 and skipped Paused.

    Oh well. I’ll try the next progression and go from there.
