yeah tbh i turn my TV off when gaming, usually when i am surfing the web and stuff i'll use it to drag windows (youtube, netflix) up onto it. if its something to watch i have a little ottoman under the desk so i recline my dx racer and put my feet up. goat setup. between the input lag on the tv and the angle i pretty much never use it to actually browse or navigate anything. i hate even dragging my mouse up to it so for movies and stuff i just use unified remote app and use my tablet to control plex or vlc player.

desktop fusion is a nice little app to control your multi monitor setup

34" for gaming, then use the 40" to manage my Twitch stream, Discord chat, Spotify, and Misc for browsing while not in games.

Pretty legit. I love it.

Have yet to watch Netflix on it from the bed, but have a female coming over tomorrow so I'll be able to check it out.

All that vertical real estate was GOAT for multi-tasking. Only issue was that I went with a cheap monitor stand (~$120) which eventually led to the monitors falling into and scratching each other.

Some day I will go with another triple 27" monitor setup, with a 55" monitor behind/above it.

Recently reformatted my computer and redownloaded some programs. I have a Red dragon Mammoth mouse that has a Mouse button 4/5/6. When I try to do the custom binding on a program that comes with it and click mouse button 4/5/6 it registers as L alt/L Shift/L Ctrl. Anyone have any idea whats going on. Tried contacting customer support but theyre Chinese so itll probably be terrible.

does it come with any macro software?

There have been several 980tis sold on eBay for under $250 lately. It's crazy. I bought mine at a bad time lol ended up paying $450 for it.

My buddy just picked up a 1050 for like $160 new and says he's pretty impressed with it.

- 8GB vs 6GB Vram, extra 2GB might come in handy for Vram hogging games.
- 256 GB/s vs 192 GB/s Memory Bandwidth
- 14nm vs 16nm
- More future proof for those on budget as more DX12 games come out in the future.

1060 was ahead of 480 when it was released specifically on 1080 and DX11 games but 480 has caught up already due to new drivers.
From the bench video below:
- 480 is now just 2% behind 1060 on DX11 1080P and they are equal on 1440P.
- And 480 have increased their lead on DX12 on both resolutions with 6% for both 1080 and 1440P.

Just grab the 960 Evo. It isn't much slower than the 960 Pro, but way cheaper.

Compare these with the 960 Evo and you see a huge difference.
IOPS is increased by insane amounts. R/W speeds is also vastly improved.

Both run like champs still, I bought this **** like 5 years ago! Well my 7950, one of the fans stopped working, I'm pretty sure it's dying LOL. My PC crashes at least once a day now. To be fair, I run my PC 24/7 and CPU is overclocked as high as I could get. fx6300 @ 4.6ghz 1.425v

Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me either build or find a desktop. I shoot movies in 1080p although I can do 4k. It's just not viable right now so we just use 1080p footage. I want to be able edit and render video in 1080p. I don't use the computer for gaming. I only want it for video editing and occasionally photoshop and aftereffects. I would like to keep the price under 600 but I don't know if that's even possible. I'm willing to even buy an older model if it's cheaper. I don't know know if eBay is worth looking at or not.

AMD is actually been recently ahead when it comes to technology since the Fury.
AMD is the 1st to:
- use HBM type vrams
- use 14nm 4 months ahead of Nvidia. 1080 and 1060 is still at 16nm.
- be compatible with DX12.
- they have the potential to be the 1st to use HBM2 as well with Vega.

480 is ahead of 1060 when it comes to tech when both were released but AMDs driver is not ripe yet and the existing games were not optimized yet for AMDs GPU. That's why 1060 just smoked them in the beginning.
But 480 has caught up now and is actually ahead in performance but is still behind in market share.

Advance users to enthusiasts level are just a small fraction of the massive numbers of buyers who doesn't really know what they are buying.
That's why even if AMD's Vega is expected to be better or equal than Nvidia's next offering, I'm sure Nvidia will just easily pull ahead with the market share.

AMD has always been the first with new tech to the market, not just with the 480, but with lots of previous generations.
The problem is that no one (almost) buys their products so it doesn't matter how much R&D and fancy stuff they have - people will still either buy an inferior nVidia product or wait till a new nVidia product is on the market (which typically is a little bit weaker than the current AMD offering) which is the exact same case with 480 vs 1060...
