Front squats and deadlifts 18.06.18
I wasn’t sure how I’d get on today. It was my first week back at work last week after the holiday so I was pretty tired come the weekend. It was an eventful week what with the car semi-dying, and the emotion of FINALLY finishing uni. I think I’m still processing all that’s happened with uni, really.
So I’d almost talked myself into not being able to make the lifts. They certainly felt heavier than I would have liked, but I got them done.

Decline bench and OHP 19.06.18
I was meant to move up to 96 on the second set, but couldn’t hit all my reps so stayed at 95. I was p!ssed at missing the OHP, which might be why it seemed to fly up the second time lol.

Active Recovery 20.06.18
Glad it was active recovery today as I'm whacked. My car is STILL in the garage because the part they need hasn't arrived yet (it's not like it's a rare part or anything!). In hindsight I should have ordered a courtesy car, but they said mine would be ready on Friday. So, the past two days (and today) I'm having to commute to work by train which is a real PITA. Two trains, plus a mile walk into work at the end (obviously the same on the way home). I don't mind walking as such, but at the end of a train journey where the trains are normally late and overcrowded, it's not fun. Also it's extra money I'm spending which costs more a week than I spend in petrol.
Plus, my upcoming graduation costs (e.g., gown, photos) and fees I have to pay to register as a psychologist have cost me about £450! Good job I had some money set aside for a "rainy day". It frickin' poured this past week!
There, I've had my b!tch and moan and got it out of my system. As you were lol.

Seriously, it's like everything in life is holding out their hand waiting for payment!
Hopefully now that you're a Doctor, the cash will start rolling in.... right?

an hour is not realistic to make real gains, it's just not.
You are asking someone else but, I can give you an idea of how my girls train. Corey Jean is likely the quickest at 1.5 hours but, sometimes longer, Missy 2 hours come hell or high water and Jenn 1.5-2. Now, these are elite lifters/athletes and they can turn and burn. So, keep in ind, they've trained long enough to have the work capacity and the conditioning to do so. It's not automatic and they have had to earn that ability.
I fully understand the balance thing and let's be honest...if you have a full time job and running a business...balance is not going to happen. You could quit lifting and then be really miserable. What I'm working at is you may need to reset your expectation of what balance is. I know, from my experience, running a business mean, no days off. I was gone to Canada for 8 days but, every day, I was getting messages and doing training stuff. It's simply part of the cost.
I'm not discouraging but, I am trying to give you a realization perspective. This is hard and there is alot and I get totally get it. Get it done...be your best.Squat: 1,040

Yeah, money will go up although hubby and I are setting up a private therapy practice to do alongside our day jobs so it'll mainly be my extra cash kick-starting that. Which is fine in the short term.
Mine usually take at least 1.5 hours I think. I wouldn't have the stamina to do them quicker lol.- Fallen Angel -

I'm definitely not going to stop lifting but I'm thinking about my goals and how they fit into my life. Especially since competing is not in the near future, or maybe at all.
Yay! It will be worth it

Thanks, woman!
Squats felt okay, a little heavy perhaps but my legs are tired from these few days of commuting. But, had a call late yesterday that my car was ready so I'm picking it up this morning. Whoop!

Flat bench 22.06.18
Slingshot was very sluggish. After getting the 3rd rep on the first set the bar felt like lead. I probably should have tried it, but I could feel it getting heavier as I held it up. Second set, the bar went down and rolled towards my neck, and I’m usually able to control it. Not sure what’s up today. I did consider going down 5lbs and trying again but my arms were beat and I was running short on time.

*catches up on everything*
Way to show the bar who is boss.
I'm in the 1.5-2 hours crew, in particular when following Sheiko, though on occasion the 2 hour is partly influenced by having to wait for equipment. Some days though it's just lots of sets, like benching 18 sets on top of doing squats and such. I just go when I know I have the time to put in but also have no spouse, kids or any social life so... yeah.Gym Max: 229/126/305

Front squats and deadlifts 25.06.18
Feeling a bit overwhelmed with things lately. Don't know if I mentioned but Alan and I are in the process of setting up a private therapy practice. To be fair, the set up has gone smoother than I thought - we've found an office and we've bought most of what we need. There's just lots of information to take in (paying taxes, registering the business, data protection) and I need to take a step back sometimes.
Deadlifts helped with that lol.
