1500 calories a day. Not losing weight

I started dieting two weeks ago and im eating 1500. I do two hour workout at the gym for 3 days a week. And i walk for an hour on other days. My weight on the scale has not been changed. Its just moving up and down betweek 85Kg and 86. I started weight lifting after 6 months. Now its been 1 month since i started this time.

Why am i not losing weight ? Is it the water weight ? Or what ? I have a great motivation. But now i feel like im fed up

    My tdee is 2600.
    Gonna start IF from tomorrow.

Im afraid that my metabolism has become low. But i dont feel any significiant tiredness or loss of energy.

If you were really eating in a 1100 calorie deficit, you would be losing weight. That large a deficit is not recommended. More than likely, you're not tracking your food intake correctly.

IF won't help you lose fat if you're still eating too much.

Off-topic: This has been mentioned in a different thread today as well but the amount of threads I've seen recently where people claim to eat x amount of calories and not losing weight is out of the ordinary

Now I'd suggest you start actually tracking everything you eat, weighing it and writing down the amounts of calories you consume on a daily basis. We humans tend to underestimate the amount of food we eat, you say you are in a deficit of 1,1k kcal/day whilst you are not losing weight, at first glance I suppose something is off with your counting.

It takes a long time (like a month of a peanut a day) for a metabolism to slow down significantly.

People are far to obsessed with metabolism.

Unless your a woman over 40 you have nothing to worry about.

Download yourself a good app like Lose it! or MyFitnessPal and log everything you eat. Including water intake and macros.

Stay hydrated, drink an ounce a pound if possible.

Stay active and look around daily for something to get you moving.

If it makes you feel better I didnt notice any weight loss for the first two weeks either. Then one day it started to happen rapidly.

Stick to the above and you will be fine. Good luck man
We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.

    Recalculate your tdee
Start counting your calories, accurately, with a food scale if you have to
    consume -500 under your tdee
    = Lose weight

Don't check the scale everyday, or even every week. You're not going to notice the little difference, and it's going to discourage you. Check the scale every 2-3 weeks.

I'm guessing you're counting wrong. Are you WEIGHING all of your food? If you're measuring and eyeballing, you're not accurate.

Okay then its possibly im counting wrong.i counted my calories from mfp. But im not sure about homemade food info on it. Specially food that is made from sri lankan style(my country). How about keep counting like this and just lower the calories on mfp.? Like 1000 calories a day on mfp.

Ok I'm gonna be the voice of reason for a change lol.

Dropping your calories even more will not help.

    I couldn't cut on 1800 calories.

Hired a coach and starting loosing weight on 2200 calories.

Actually lost 2 pounds the first week at 2200.

You could be in a extremely low deficit.

Although most ppl won't admit it, that will stop your progress.

Might be best to eat at maintaince for awhile then try again at a reasonable deficit.

    1500 is way too low

If you can't count it then dont eat it.

It might suck to be restricted to certain foods while cutting but it really sucks to be fat....

You can build your own foods in MFP. Just figure out the nutrition info of all the ingedients, add em up and enter the homemade dish into MFP. It will always be there for you to use.

Two weeks is barely enough time to pass judgment on your calorie target, but if you really where eating 1500 a day for 2 weeks you should have seen the scale move by now. It is almost certain that you are not counting properly.

Yes everyone is correct your calories are too low if that's actually how much you are eating, in addition to that from the info you provided you just started weight lifting which means you still have the potential to do what most wish they could again.. Build muscle and still be losing weight. If this is the case don't only base your progress off your weight. Use the mirror and keep making strength gains. You're a newbie focus on the weights and not eating like ****, be consistent and you will make progress.
    I lifted heavy once.
    It was cool.
