Heading down to skyline with my buddy in his Stingray A8 we were having some spirited driving.
State trooper pulled us both over and gave us reckless driving - racing tickets.
My hope is that he didn't get us with his radar. He mentioned no exact speeds and kept asking me what my excuse was for racing. I told him I wasn't racing and had no excuses.
Cop was coming down other side of highway. Weren't actually racing at this point. Friend was accelerating past me to merge. Could have been way worse. Keeping this to the track from now on - Summit and VIR only hah.
Ticket doesn't have a posted speed. Seems unusual based off my limited research.
Gonna get a lawyer and head down to west bumfuk VA in a month and a half. Wish me luck brahs. Reckless in VA carries 6 months suspended license and up to 2 years with the racing. Luckily have a flawless driving record so hopefully that'll help.
EDIT: should add I have(had) a spotless driving record and +5 positive points which is most possible at least in VA.

Damn son, that breaks balls. Stingray reps hnnnnngggg.
Did you for a split second think about running?
If the cop was coming down other side of highway, how could he get you for anything? No speed recorded/ he was not trailing you for a while to watch your moves or get dashcam footage, then what can he base his claims on?
It would be different if he was behind you for a few miles and saw your breaking lanes or something, but it seems he just passed two performance cars and assumed the worst (which was correct lol) but he can't actually prove it.
I think you could beat this in court, the officer was probably counting on you to incriminate yourself by admitting to speeding and then just pay the fine.
My point is they can issue it, but it doesn't mean the charge will stand up it court.** 40% Aesthetics, 55% Autism crew**
Top 5 laundry detergents in the game (don't judge my opinion):
1.Tide (delivers a clean and fresh style of)
2.Oxi clean (attacks dry stains like a monster)
3.all (deserves a spot in the top 5 but not the best)
4.wisk (I respect the stain spectrum tech. But needs to fight harder for that top 3)
5.purex (up and coming in the game)

Thanks man. Yeah trooper was not the friendliest fellow.
Thought about it a split second. But those days are behind me. And limited to 2 wheels I think haha. Don't know the roads out there well enough anyways.
But this is my thinking as well. I've gotten off in tickets before for not enough evidence - burden of proof is on the state. Hopefully a lawyer can at least knock this down to speeding for me. We shall see.
Yeah VA is rough. They screw their own residents worse than anyone too. All reckless carry suspended license and are misdemeanors as of a couple years ago and fines and penalties all raised etc etc.
I usually keep it pretty tame relatively but this Z51 is just too much fun - can't wait for spring for the tracks to open back up.Last edited by NateDieselF4i; 11-01-2015 at 06:37 PM.

One of the reasons I hated being stationed in VA. No thanks as a whole at the traffic laws there. Good luck man, get a good lawyer. VIR is a great track, CMP is pretty good as well. Hopefully this will keep you honest for a bit.

From northern VA...your angus is definitely gonna need some major peppering, I know all to well how tight the driving laws are. They really have no give.

Das it mane.
Ok mr high n mighty. I wasn't racing. Driving next to another sports car at the time. I assume you've never gotten on a car a bit at any point too.
Maybe I can tell the judge I'm friends with Sentinel and can bribe him with greens.
Culpeper Virginia. Pulled over by state trooper. Not recipe for success.
Gotta stretch those legs sometimes. Worst part was we weren't actually doing anything at this point haha.
I haven't been a saint in this car but kinda chaps my ass how it all went down. Could have been way worse though.
Thanks brah. That's pretty ridiculous. Just a waste of time and money at that point.
Got a lawyer. Friends of family - 500 bucks. Have an action plan in place.Best Lifts S/B/D
