Background
Basically I tried to do bodybuilding about 6 years ago and realized it wasn't for me. Through this forum I developed a need for strength and entered my first powerlifting meet. I fell in love with the sport and now am focused to become an elite lifter. So this will be my struggle to do just that. I plan to set some records too and plenty of PRs to come. Current gym and meet numbers are in my sig below if you are interested.
If you are new to this log, it is a continuation of this log:

Coach Wade Johnson
Wade has made a huge impact on both my life and my lifting he is a great coach and a great friend. I hope if any of you are looking for an online coach to really help you progress in powerlifting that you will talk to Wade he is not just a pretty princess but is also filled with knowledge and is a great teacher. He runs the Ogre Compound (powerlifting gym) and kicks ass in powerlifting, olympic lifitng, and strongman. He is very reasonably priced too.
Here is his training log:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=159263111
and a pic in case you didn't know....
Family
The other aspect that will come up a lot in here is my family. I have 3 great kids and a smoking hot wife that fill the rest of my time up. So be prepared for conditioning with "Stroller Pushing" or "Kid Carries" in the title. Pics and vids here too. I hope to show you how to balance training and family life as they are both really important to me.
Nutrition
This is an area that I think I am finally dialing in on. Its still not optimal but it is improving constantly.
All the rest you will figure out...

TRAINING
Highlights Version
This will normally contain top sets, PRs and a short training vid of highlights, but today is an accessory day so its not too exciting
Detailed Version
I mixed things up in an effort to get more walking in and did a lap around the track between every set. I liked it. I got about 2.5 miles in during my workout. I may try to do this with all assistance work.
TG Straight Arm Pulldowns - 50x15x3
TG Face Pulls - 50x15x3
TG Pulldowns - 110x15x3
Shrugs on TG Bicep Curl Machine - 100x15, 150x15x2
DB Upright Rows - 25x15, 27.5x15x2
TG Shrugdowns - 120x15x3
DB Reverse Curls - 10x20, 15x20x2
TG Calf Press - 200x15x3
Roman Chair Knee Raises - 4 sets of 25
Conditioning
2.5 miles between sets
Gym Idiots
I decided to do these again cause they help me vent
Where's A Belt for Everything
So there is a guy at my gym that is a fairly decent lifter but wears his velcro belt for everything. Today I went up to him and asked him why.
Me: Why do you wear a weight belt for everything?
Idiot: Because my lower back is weak
Me: And you want it to stay that way?
Idiot: No I just need it so I don't injure it?
I tried to explain to him that a belt is used to help stabilize your core during heavy lifts and that relying it for everything is a crutch and it was more important to both find out what is wrong with his back and to strengthen it and his abs to fix it. I am sure he will be at the gym today again belted up to do some hardcore DB side raises
Highlighter
So highlighter is back and she is killing me. For those that don't know Highlighter is a girl that comes to my gym dressed like a highlighter and then gives the bitch-face to anyone that looks her way. Too make her even more annoying she did this for the entire 90 minutes that I was at the gym yesterday. No joke this pace the whole time
