The first pic is at about 155 pounds or so a few months back, had been busy with work and relaxed on nutrition, poor excuses but that’s the way it was. First thing in the morning, unpumped/unflexed.

Next is ~125 pounds, went down a bit before slamming into a bulk; not the smartest thing because I still did not have the mass to support cutting so far, but I was still busy with work and it was pretty easy to drop the weight working 60+ hours per week; just less time spent eating meant more time sleeping.

Now for current pics, this was in the morning, first pic unflexed, next two flexed; you can see my ab genetics suck, but I like to think the arms and delts make u for it, they maintain vascularity and striations even as my body fat goes up. Due to the previous obesity I store fat in the stomach and love handles easily, but ah well. Current weight is about 158 in the morning; so in these I am 3 pounds heavier than the first pic, and 28 pounds heavier than the second pic.

I feel better, and am stronger than I have ever been before; I did this by eating enough to actually grow and progress on lifts, every time I stalled I would just eat more until things were moving along again. Training for performance and not looks has been helping me get a lot better at both really, more mass definitely is helping. Plan is to keep bulking to 170, and see how I feel from there, but I will likely keep bulking past that even; end goal is still 170 or so at about 12-14% body fat. I don’t need abs, getting and maintaining them effects my performance too much, I’d rather carry a bit more fat and be stronger and able to physically perform at my best.

Hope some can see this and see the benefit of just going for the gains, rather than try to get or keep a lean look when you just don’t have the mass; still Skeletor status I suppose but getting bigger and stronger every week.
Congrats on your progress. Looking good.

    Continue doing what you're doing.

Yeah I shouldn't be doing my 3200 calorie bulking I was doing before. I talked to a certified trainer today and he said I can go in about a 250 calorie deficit. And that way I will start burning off the fat and still building some muscle.

my doctor told me I should be cutting down, he said my body fat percentage is too high ( 22ish or maybe even more ) and I am actually starting to have some unpleasant visual effects from the extra fat. Do you have any tips to do this safely and properly? Please don't say don't cut because I have now been doctor advised and I just need to do this as quickly and painless as possible while maintaining strength. I know I'm not gonna look like anything amazing after my cut but once I eliminate some of the bodyfat I will have a clean slate to bulk from. I messed up by overbulking for several months and it just got me extra fat that I don't need. I plan to keep lifting heavy as well. I hopefully will gain a little bit of muscle definition even though I don't have a ton of muscle yet. He said absolutely do not bulk at my bodyfat percentage, and I agree because I did for a while and just got more fat. I need to cut and get a clean slate.

Please help me I need some tips on how to do this properly

I regret overeating, i really do, because how am I gonna cut down to 10-12%. I know I'm not gonna have a ton of muscle at the end of it but I need to do this now otherwise I'm going to get nowhere.

So your suggestion is for a teen to just eat whole foods you enjoy and lift heavy? I tryed to count macros through MFP and bought a scale and everything, but it justs stresses me out and causes me to overeat .

With all due respect, you did cut down to under 1,000 kcals a day and relied 90 percent on supplements you didn't know much about. Not to say us teens should cut, but you did bring a lot upon yourself. I'm glad to see your on the right track, though and your motivation is very inspiring to say the least.

Pretty much why most recommend teens do not track, there really is no need. Just make smart choices, eat a variety of whole foods and use moderation and common sense.

Lift heavy, rest, eat, nothing more needed.

No doubt, but many seem to do this as teens trying to cut; they have the 'all or nothing' mentality and want instant gratification.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

This is kind of a dumb way to tell teens not to cut. I'm 18 and agree that cutting in high school is dumb but I think what teens really need to understand is that with their fast metabolism the only way to put on muscle is to be in a surplus but that doesn't mean when spring break rolls around you cant up the cardio, clean the diet up and shed off some fat and stay lean for the summer. You obviously went to the extreme but most people won't do that. If you're under 20 and want to cut just remember to take it easy don't go overboard and remember that you will lose quite a bit of mass when you slim down.

The problem is most teens don't have common sense and WILL go overboard.

Pretty much this. Not just teens, people in general lack common sense.

Funnily enough, weight has been stable at about 160 pounds for a few weeks, but all lifts have been improving; even getting better definition, so seems to be a slow recomp for now which is fine with me. Beard gains there too. Pics taken without a pump in the morning and yeah, I still suck at taking pics.
