But I'm not sure if it would be considered retaining, as I want it on my driveway side. Ok, well I guess it is retaining, but it isn't retaining a ton of soil/dirt.


I am actually looking to make a smaller sized one, under or at about 20" in total. Is it necessary at that height to have a 6" base of rock, Or other material? Again, because of its height does it require a drain behind it? Or is that only 4' walls and higher?

Unless you are mortaring the bricks, it will drain itself. Soil/stone is permeable
