If you are going to do a thing, may as well look good at it.
How rusty are you?
I laughed at all the Brits who voted for Brexit, but didn't actually want to do it.
"Yeah I voted for it, but only because it didn't have a chance of passing!"
Guess they just wanted to make a statement. Strong understanding of the democratic process.

The trick to never losing a fight is to have a few drinks first. You technically can't lose a fight that you can't technically consent to.

2 years ago, while Obama was in office, didn't his admin + the UN take control of Assad's stockpile of available chemical weapons? After their investigation?
Apparently America woke up today thinking we've only just started bombing Syria, which is entirely false, been happening for a few years now. Mind blown @ the people of this country sometimes.*US Navy Vet*

The amount of people who thought that our involvement in Syria is a new thing blew my mind.

One of the first things trump did that I agree with.
Caveats:
I am not a warmongering type. I dont want to turn the middle east into an ashtray. If dude is gassing kids, id fight a world war over that. Rather my whole species die out than live in a world where that exists.
Now if this all some false flag bs. Nothing to say really. We ****ed.Ol' 71st street. The devil that birthed me.

Interestingly, I was just reading about this yesterday. The worst part about is was that the U.S. granted immunity to these cats in exchange for their research papers.

The whole Syria thing is really sad. I unfortunately saw videos of the aftermath of that gas attack. People, children, lying in the streets gasping for breath. Awful.
Then you get people posting stuff like "so the US bombed Syria to teach Syria not to bomb Syria" or some nonsense. People go on at Trump, but conveniently forget the 20,000 bombs that Obama's already dropped.**** Atheist Alliance ****

Yeah, surprised me too.
I guess Syria decided to test the new guy. Hopefully the repercussions are swift and definitive.
Agreed. You would have a hard time finding somebody who hates this administration more than I do, but this is not the time to be partisan.
Neither party should support condoning war crimes.

THIS!
I have friends that seem to be excited over the idea of war. I guess it's easy to feel that way, when you don't, or have not ever served though. As a civilian now, I don't want a war. Period. I'd prefer we didn't.
I did some reading this weekend about all of it. The problem is that both US/Russia want to run a gas line, and both are jocking for control over it. It isn't the only complication in Syria itself, but it is a big one....and conveniently Aleppo is right in the middle of all of it. Coincidence? I don't know....
As for Russia and Trump ties, I guess people forgot about Chinagate with Clinton? Saudi's and Bush? This sh*t is not new.
The other issue I have heard from people is that we should "carpet bomb" the whole country. The country is literally ruined as it lies now. And all of these special interest groups funded from all surrounding countries and powers only further complicate the problem as well on the ground.
Obviously, behind closed doors there is more information than we have, but it is hard to identify why Assad would use chemicals again, especially at this point. Where for the first time ever days before, they finally held talks with rebels and government officials face to face. Or that the way the civil war was now going, thanks largely in part by Russia, Assad's Army is poised to win, defeating the rebels and Isis.
I just don't know anymore. But not knowing your allies is exactly how we ended up in a world war....*US Navy Vet*

Lulz. Guy does make it hard not to hate him. See your point, tho.
I think in this case the fear is that if the administration colluded with Russia to influence a US election, Putin is gonna have the executive branch by the balls. Won't hurt Vlad to release the details, but could lead to treason charges for many top officials up to and possibly including the POTUS. Perfect blackmail material.

Yeah, but he has always been that way...easy to hate.
Well that is what I think makes the bombing of Syria interesting. Russia is against it, yet it was done anyway. Makes me wonder all the dynamics that went on that very few know of and also what is the truth and what is posturing.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903

I'm just learning this. Never watched reality TV.
That's likely why we struck unilaterally. Usually we go to the UN and Russia vetos. Then when we take action, it is very clear that Russia supported a dictator making and using chemical weapons and we can denounce them. This administration skipped the UN step so we wouldn't implicate Russia. We had to attack Syria, tho. After calling Obama weak, Trump couldn't just let this slide and look weaker.
