'Gives you cancer' is the modern airy-fairy media story that means absolutely nothing. As far as I'm aware, there's no proven link between diet soda and cancer, although god knows the conspirotards go on about it enough, but if there was?
You need to know what type of cancer and what the increased risk actually is. There are proven links between a bunch of activities and increased cancer incidence e.g. eating BBQ'd meat, living on granite bedrock and going outside.
But strangely, people still do all of those things and some of those people are the same people that won't drink Diet Coke because 'it gives you cancer'.
'Proven, quantified risk or GTFO' is my motto."A stupid man's report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand."

Forever cutting crew checking in, let me aware you *******s. Coke Zero is the GOAT non-calorie soda. Diet Coke taste like ass in comparison. Coke Zero uses a different formula which gives it more of a normal Cola taste, Diet Coke is more on the super sweet side. I also highly recommend Sprite Zero, there is less of a taste difference between Sprite Zero and regular Sprite. I also drink Crystal Light daily. Don't give a fck if aspartame is "bad", I lost 64lbs in 6 months when I was training and couldn't have done it without it. Will be getting back to training again and dropping 20lbs.

PREACH. I don't know how people drink that literal feces in a can, Diet (insert brand name here). Coke Zero is it. Disgusting aftertastes and Hooters-level advertising lies about how they don't taste much different than their full-sugar counterparts is not what's hot in the streets.

I've drank diet pop (soda for you muricans) for years. Can't even drink the regular stuff anymore it's like drinking a glass of sugar. I mean technically that's correct...but it's just way too sweet for me.

Regular Coke is way too sweet for me. Rather take the million to one chance of aspartame related cancer over the high risk of diabeetus. Also, why spend your life worrying about every possible thing that can go wrong? That's the same kind of thinking that prevented me from riding motorcycles for so many years. Now I regret all the fun I missed out on in all that time.
Have fun, and give zero fuks. Your chance of getting out of life alive is also zero. May as well enjoy it while you can.Last edited by IronCharles; 10-16-2015 at 04:51 PM.

If she's addicted to it as she says she is, then its most likely the caffeine. There is caffeine free versions of Diet Coke and Coke Zero, Sprite zero is always caffeine free like regular Sprite.

Why would anyone ever drink anything without caffeine?

Unfortunately it's a lot easier to get caffeine than it is titties.

Even to 95 is a large spread lol. You're playing more than I have been, although I've been playing a bit more the past month or so. Still about scratch...actually probably a bit higher. Hitting my driver longer and straighter than ever before in my life, which is nice, but everything else is not quite as good as the driver. Frustrating struggling for pars or making bogeys when I bomb it 330 and have 50 yards in, then **** up my pitch. Oh well. Maybe next year I'll actually do what I've been talking about and get a membership somewhere and start playing real tournaments again instead of just scrambles. Although my bro and I have a legit tourney on Mon/Tues. We can make a few bucks if we do well: http://ctpga.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/c...1525/index.htm
We're the Kobayashi brothers. Would be sick to win.
Any good weekend plans y'all? I've got some friends coming over in like an hour, gonna have a fire and get drunk. Then hiking tomorrow. The foliage is tits right now.

Haven't really drunk soda in years. Rarely even drink tea, coffee or juices, so I'm at the point where I hardly get any sugar or caffeine from drinks day-to-day
All goes out the window when I meet up with my friends. Get hammered, start mixing spirits with a bucketload of sugary energy drinks, spend the next two days wide-awake with a resting heart rate of ~130
Yeah, all those 'bubbles give you cancer' studies are so badly controlled
Even the established ones are pretty tenuous... I mean, if you're eating BBQ every day, you're probably going to be named Jim-Bob. The cancer's probably coming from his mining job, his chewing tabacco, the sunburns, or the years of incest that his ancestors grunted out in their asbestos shacksLast edited by TheJizzler; 10-17-2015 at 06:18 PM.
