After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

I'm not that old and I don't get it either. It's like half an hour of a weird gremlin looking dude holding a camera up to his face and making gay comments then trying to act all badass. They also go to great lengths to let everyone know how much they supposedly don't care about youtube, they're constantly talking about how they don't give a fuk, couldn't care less etc..pretty cringeworthy

Dennis Cornelius just posted a 770x3 squat on youtube. That guys squat technique is ****ing perfect imo. One of the most under appreciated lifters there is around right now.

Love his style on the lifts. His squat is beautiful, chest up, elbows down, sitting back with nearly vertical shins and as soon as the bar slows on the way up hips shift forward and goes back into the quads. Also one of the best full meet IPF benchers I think too.
Seems like he trains with a very basic kinda system too which appeals to my 80s powerlifting fanboy. Just a lot of heavy weights in the 1-5 range on the main lifts.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

People with good squat form make me jealous as fuk,
training partner/gf has an ultra narrow stance and stays almost totally vertical even during a max. She basically just leg presses the weight while my hips decide to ride off into the sunset and wait on the rest of me to catch up

every time i get in my shirt i hate myself...until the top set where i finally have the shirt sitting right.
least im moving the weights fast. sigh.
wonder if some of you gear whores could chime in. ive successfully squatted 550 straps up. the other day on my top set (465), i put my straps up (just to see) and could not stop shaking. i got one rep, shaking..started to go for a second but felt so shaky that i re racked it.
ive only ever shook like that when i walked out 600 and held it.529/380/650 (1560@293 raw)

Just caught up 13 pages of this thread. Good AM reading material.
Was co-meet director and MC of a 32 person meet out here a couple weeks ago. That was dope. Takes a lot to put a meet together though, I tell you what. Brandon is known as "The Wheat City" so the "Westman Embark Open" unofficially became "The Wheat Meet" ft prizes like a box of Mini Wheats for best junior, Ben Langley's 466 wilks. Good times. Was cool to be on the mic as my provincial squat record got taken by forum member Rileh. Kid's gonna be a big deal some day soon. Another youngster - a 19 year old guy named Michael Chan who trains non-specifically for "overall athleticism" pulled 606lbs in the 66kg class beltless. That was pretty impressive.
Learning a lot about nutrition lately. In that 6 week period between finishing school and graduating/starting work as a psychiatric nurse, taking it easy and doing a 1000 Cal deficit/training hypertrophy these days. NorthStrong and I have been talking love of powerbuilding in my log. Never thought I'd be hyped to do 3 minute rest interval 5x10 squats <60% but here I am, jonesin'.468.4/319.6/551.1 @ 92.3 KG; 381 Wilks. (Sep 26, 2015)

Finding out the gym owner wasn't letting us use her benches and weights for the warmup area... At 8pm the night before... Scrambled hard - had to sneak steal/borrow a weightset from the old male dorm weight room (AFTER PACKING/MOVING FOR 12 HOURS), got people to bring weights to the meet and had to sign waivers at another gym to borrow two benches, two 45s and a bar. Haha, pulled it off.
Yeah, to keep muscle and ultimately strength on a cut. Mike Israetel, Paul Carter and others have written a lot on this.468.4/319.6/551.1 @ 92.3 KG; 381 Wilks. (Sep 26, 2015)

This kind of bullshiit pisses me off. Don't let people hold a goddamn powerlifting meet in your gym if you're so anal about other lifters touching your stupid equipment. Especially if you're getting paid too. I was at an RPS meet once and Gene brought two sets of equipment, one for warmup and one for the platform. This meet was at a crossfit gym and there were LOTS of lifters. The day of the meet the owners wouldn't let anyone even approach their squat racks, bars, benches and weights and warmups were pretty much a mess. A bunch of racks and bars just sitting on the other side of the gym while everyone was lining up for one mono. Dumbest **** I'd ever seen.

Holy crap.. good job pulling it off I'd be livid. One of my first meets the competition platform was also the warm up platform lol. Only ~15 lifters so one flight, but I saw firsthand how much of a mess an inadequate warmup area was when the old lady opening at a ~90 kg deadlift started complaining she was having to wait so long for everyone after her. One guy had to drop his opener because they decided to start before he could even warm all the way up.
Interesting approach. Good luck w/ it.Meet PR's

funny you mention that as I have been playing around with that for some reason lately
I had no idea mike T looked down at his dink whilst squatting, I've always done it but don't know why
a few months ago, I started keeping my head up for deadlifts and it has helped tremendously. so naturally I've started to do it for squats but am undecided

I just found out what it means: "Titan High Performance".

Oh cool, are we starting an argument about ~30 degree difference on head placement during the squat. That's interesting.
