    300 a month I can't even.
Never understood how someone could pay so much money for a program that is probably copy and pasted. Especially with something like RPE which has absolutely no personal aspect to it. Hit X,Y,Z up to an RPE 9, drop 10% and do 5x5. Wow much complexity.

I know a few people being coached by him and it's nothing crazy that you can't find online if you just did research for a few hours on different types of training and such.

Nothing against Mike or RTS, I'm all over that. Just blows my mind that people are paying that kind of money per month for **** that is readily available on the internet if you've got a couple hours to figure out and half a brain.
It blows my mind when I see bodybuilding numbers. Like training and nutrition with unlimited communication is $400-$500 per month. But not everyone has half a brain. And not everyone wants to learn the concepts and figure out how to apply it to their situation. Some people just want a coach to tell them what to do and they go do it. Even Mike himself has his RTS manual, free articles, free videos, free forum, free training block and just did his free presentation at the Online Powerlifting Summit, but people still can't understand the concepts of auto-regulation and how to apply it to themselves. So they hire him.

A lot of people have confidence issues (I do sometimes) and don't trust themselves when it comes to making training decisions. It's either paying $100-$200 bucks a month or driving themselves crazy and overthinking everything.

I think conjugate can be modified quite a bit, but only so much to get any real benefit from it. If you aren't a strength/power athlete, it's probably going to lack in a lot of areas (and even if you are, it would need to be heavily modified), or you're going to adjust it to the point that it doesn't look anything like conjugate anymore.

Watched Mike T give his presentation yesterday. I thought it was good. Chad Wesley Smith is coming up in an hour I think and Matt Wenning is giving a presentation later on the conjugate method. Might get some insight there for the person asking about it.

So my meet in 6 weeks uses a mono. I've competed in a mono many times but I've always walked it out since I don't get to train in one. My gym has one now and I'm torn between using it to get an extra 20-30lbs on top of the 200lbs I already get from my wraps, and being such a big fat cheater.

Video from this past weekend. We were planning on taking ~285 for my 3rd squat, but we had no clue why I grinded out 275. Didn't realize I hit the rack on the way up until we watched the video afterwards.

Bench… sucked. I weighed in really light, so I think that made my shirt looser than usual. But either way, my bench is trash and I need to fix it.

Pulls felt slow, but 250 was a PR so I can't complain.

Time to put some gear on that actually fits lol

So that Russian teen chick got caught doping.

This sorta surprises me and not at all either. Russians love their drugs, so no doubt she'd be on. But she must have been on for at least 1-2 years before this?

A girl... and on at 14-15! I laugh when people tell me a guy is too young to be taking when you've got girls at that age taking.

    Edit: Oh, I'm slow.

Not that weird paying for coaching though, is it?

Training is very simple but also very, very difficult. If you just work hard and keep lifting you'll probably do fine. But, there's also a million factors and that matters more when you're stuck in a plateau or want to peak to be at your best for one specific day. That's a bit tougher.

It's not that odd to pay someone who has a ton of experience with many different lifters for that expertise. Some people enjoy experimenting and trial and error. But others don't. If that coach has worked with 1000 athletes and he knows if you're X type of lifter then floor press is great for you, then that's worth something. No need for you to waste your time trying a bunch of variations when floor press is your key, for example.

What I do dislike is how anyone with a following does coaching. Because whilst TSA and Mike T and few others I think are very legit, most of the rest probably won't be. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just copy+paste with few tweaks here and there.

That's what I hate the most about the Bodybuilding/Powerlifting fad and all that in general. People think they're qualified to train people just because they have an impressive physique or decent numbers. That does NOT make you qualified to train someone else. Instagram has made people believe they can train people just because a few people commented on their posts asking them to train them. Bryce is the man and I would definitely pay him to coach me if I ever decided to get one.

I can't speak for bodybuilding, but nowadays it's pretty easy to spot the strong and smart ones, the strong and dumb ones, and the ones who don't need numbers to prove they're good.

Go on Instagram and everybody and their mother is an 'Online Trainer' with their e-mail in their bio for people to ask them for training. I feel bad for the people that buy into them knowing they've only been lifting for a year and/or are on something.
