Slow going, but I may have inadvertently recomped a bit...

I have intended to cut down to 150, but I've only lost about 4 pounds since May despite cutting some calories out. However, I've been hitting the weights harder and adding more accessories and reps all the time and I think I may have actually recomped a bit. Maybe not.

Looks like you are still making progress...can we see a side by side with that "bulk" picture before you started dieting?

based on your thread title, things are going slow. if something isn't working, try the opposite, make changes and see if that helps jump start

    Thanks.

I certainly feel like I'm starting to get somewhere. I want to lean out more before I think about trying to add much mass. So, further cutting calories and adding some more volume to make sure the progressive overload continues.

I agree with ya highiso. Everyone needs a pat on the back now and then. Many of us get 0 encouragement from family and friends so it's nice to come in here and get it.

Op, well done, keep it up.

Everyone says a recomp don't work but it just takes longer. I think recomp works better when you are just slightly overweight, as you were. I've also been recomping for 2 years as I'm training for strength and started out slightly overweight like yourself. I've had fat loss and decent gains too, am still the same weight. You look like you should bulk now though if you want size.
