I'm not sure as I am not interested pointing fingers at other companies, im merely posting this consolidation of evidence of the risks of consuming the ingredient. No dog in the fight, just posting so consumers can be informed.

It has been around a while used by companies supplying grey type products typically and/or have questionable products. Falls under the radar due to the companies involved.

Different concerns - one is the link between chewing the areca/betel nut and oral/eso****eal cancer. The other separate - and more relevant concern for our purposes - is the potential systemic effects of arecoline as a neurotoxin and carcinogen:

They chew this same chit in the Philippines. It's locally referred to as nga-nga. They used this before they could afford commercial tobacco. I've heard stories
from my family about their predecessors using it and their mouths and teeth loosely translated "melted" after years of use. It's still somewhat popular in more local tribal areas.

As someone with no affiliation or vested interest towards Prime or PES, it was quite clear that his only agenda had to do with awareness of the ingredient and nothing towards the company you rep for.

And, you're not calling it as you see it. You could've just stated that as a rep, it could be conflicting for him to post such information - which I don't think it is, regardless, as he's debating about a particular ingredient - but you had to mix personal pot shots in your post to distract from the task at hand.

Anyway, looks like Syn's got this under control... too bad he likes the lesser Manchester club. 8-) (That's how you take a real potshot!)
