If you want to watch it free get a VPN and live stream off ITV.
Cliffs on Rugby (Union): There are a fuk load of different rules (laws) but these are the basic ones, play/watch games to get a better idea.
15 players each side - 8 forwards, 7 backs
Ball can be only passed backwards, must be touched down behind or on opposition goal line to score a Try
3 ways of scoring: Penalties 3 points, Tries 5 points + 2point conversion, Drop Goal 3 points
Only the ball carrier is allowed to be tackled, after being tackled a ruck is usually formed
http://understandrugbyunion.blogspot...he%20Breakdown
A ruck is formed when the ball is on the ground, typically after a tackle. See link above, also contains useful info regarding other aspects of the game can't be fuked to go through it all by myself.
Kicks can go forward but chasers must be behind the kicker to be in play
Lineouts:
Lineouts are formed when the ball crosses the sideline as a means of restarting play, the forwards will line up and co-ordinate the lift and throw with the hooker in order to regain clean possession of the ball. This can be a very good attacking platform for the team to either set up a maul, have quick ball off the top for the backs or do a trick/set play within the forwards. The tallest players in the lineout are the locks/2nd row (number 4 or 5) and international 2nd rows are typically 6 ft 6 to 6 ft 10+ as their height can give them a big advantage in lineouts. A full lineout will typically have 8 forwards from each team (a total of 16 players) participating although this number can vary, the opposition team must have an equal amount of players there as the team throwing in.
Scrums:
Scrums are a different means of restarting play. They typically form as a result of a knock on (the player carrying, catching the ball knocks it forward) or from forward passes although there are other technical infringements which can cause a scrum. The scrum requires all 8 forwards of each team to be set. The ball is fed into the scrum after the front row have engaged
1- Loosehead Prop
2- Hooker (so called because he hooks the ball with his leg when the ball is fed into the scrum)
3- Tighthead Prop
4- Lock
5- Lock
6- Blindside Flanker
7- Openside Flanker
9- Number 8
Pls no code bashing from leaguies (tymens)

Ayyy lmao at the Japan - SA game yesterday. ****nincredible turning down the draw as well to go for the win. That's japan''s first win in the rugby world cup since 1991 against 2 time world champions. Biggest upset ever in the rugby world cup.
US scored a great try just then. Check the OP for the US coverageAnteater crew
