Hello all,
I am a recent sports medicine major and former college athlete, but I am looking for some feedback. I am currently 225 lbs and stand at 5'8" with an estimated 20% body fat. My goal is to build muscle and lose fat. I want to reach about 190 lbs and 7% body fat.
I have calculated my BMR using the Harris Benedict formula (revised) and from that my BMR is about 2200 calories per day. With my exercise activity level (moderate) I burn about 3000 calories per day. My current daily macronutrient ratios are around 50% carbs, 25% fat and 25% protein. I have consistently been eating about 1850 calories per day.
Am I hurting myself with my current calorie/macronutrient intake or should I increase my calorie intake OR adjust my macronutrient percentages? All feedback is welcome and appreciated!
