    Starting Strength Questions

I was reading up on starting strength and it says the first workout is 3x5 Squat
    3x5 Press
    1x5 Deadlift/5x3 Power Clean (alternating)
I was curious about this because that seems like you'll only be in the gym for about 10 mimutes and then leave..idk though

You also do several warm up sets working up towards your 5 rep max

The whole workout should take less than a hour

The idea of the program is so you can add weight every session which means your getting stronger

Your first few workouts, assuming you follow the program correctly, will be pretty quick. As you start to get heavier in weight, the rest periods you take will get longer and eventually you will take much longer to complete the workout. For me, when I first started i'd be in and out within 30 minutes but after 2 months on the program, it'd take me 2 hours to complete the workout. Follow the program word for word, mark rippetoe knows what he is talking about
