So I'm about to get my first car.
Before all the hate, yeah I am 18 years old, about to turn 19 though in a month. I've been saving up for this car since I was about a sophomore and it's been 5 years since then so I'm ready to pull the trigger.
It's a 2011 SS Vert Camaro.
I'm a little worried whether it's worth going for the V8, I drove it and it was fun as hell, but I don't know how long that fun will last.
I just need opinions, nah a bunch of miscers who are gonna hate on me for it.
If your opinion is I'm too young, then let me know.
If your opinion is I should get a V6 instead, then let me know.
Honestly value your guys opinion a lot.
Thanks again.

the V6 can sound ok with an aftermarket exhaust, but honestly anybody who knows about cars is going to laugh at you owning a v6, call it a chick car, etc. If that doesn't matter to you go for it, i'm sure the v6 is plenty powerful for most people. However personally, I'd never get a muscle car if I wasn't able to afford the v8

if you're going to get a sports car, it must be v8, and 6spd
if you get a v6 auto... das not it mane
but realistically yeah you're too young and will probably end up wrapping it around a pole doing something stupid. i was in your shoes at 18 with a trans am but decided not to and went with a different car that was cheaper to buy/maintain and not likely to get me into trouble.

Take it from my personal experience and get the SS. I had made a very rushed decision and bought a new 2011 V6 Camaro all cash because I planned on selling within a year and it was one of the biggest mistakes. Car looks sick modded with nice rims and everyone assumed it was an SS, but I regretted not getting the V8 after a few months.
