I know it seems like we have no chance to make any noise in the playoffs, but who truly thought we were going to win it all in 2010? Rodgers wasn't having a "great" season that year either.
All it takes is winning four straight games, and with Rodgers and this solid D, I think its possible to make a run.

We need more effort from our receivers. Period. After their initial route everyone just stands in one spot as Aaron Scrambles to the sideline and throws it away. Our only threat at speed right now is Janis. Why he's not in running deep routes sometimes is beyond me. We can't seem to get anything in the passing game for more than 20 yards unless we get a penalty.

Exactly!!
Ive been a die hard cheesehead my entire life...through good and bad. But im a realist..this team is NOT good at this point. I constantly find myself asking myself this year "Who are these guys? Not my Packers"
This team is a disappointment this year. Now, before you guys come at me with "Gotta have faith" or "You're a fair-weather fan"...STOP...stop being naive. Im as loyal as they come but the fact is...we dont have what it takes this year. We lost to bad teams...AT HOME. We havent done so in many many years!! Im sorry, but im looking forward to getting healthy, getting some major keys back (Nelson, etc), fixing some holes via draft and retooling for a run next year.🌍 Talk is cheap, Actions are priceless 🌝

Never criticize someone until you have walked a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

It might be a silly thought, but hopefully the offense has another gear in the playoffs. In the 2010 run, Starks barely played all year and then was was used as the full time back in the playoffs.
Here I am hoping they just throw Janis and Abby in there with an opened up passing attack and see what happens. It can't hurt that is for sure.

We're still scared of Aaron Rodgers in DC.
Good luck Sunday.

On Steve HomerTrue radio show, he pointed out that Rodgers has been one of the worst starting quarterbacks in the NFL since the bye week statistically. He said that if Rodgers stinks it up against the Redskins he should be benched for the game.
While it will not be a popular statement, I agree. He can't move the offense unless we are behind by 20 points and the other defense lets up. Having Hundley come in relief might light a fire under Rodgers ass and spark this putrid offense.Last edited by papi93; 01-06-2016 at 11:46 AM.

I'm not trying to offend you, but this may have been the dumbest post I've seen so far this year. The fact you or anybody else thinks Rodgers is the cause of the offense looking putrid makes me wonder if you even watch the games. WR's can't get open! And when they do they drop the ball, doesn't matter who it is Cobb, Adams, Rodgers, abby has dropped a ball or two, Janis. Drives have been killed the past 10 games because WR's cannot do what they are paid for and drop passes that would have been first downs or touchdowns. The o-line has been injured and can't keep Rodgers upright let alone comfortable. Starks fumbling, what is it 4 times in 6 games or something doesn't help either, especially when it's on their own 27 yd line to begin a half. Adams can't beat 1-on-1 coverage, teams can bracket Cobb now, Rodgers doesn't know what route to run half the time and Jones... Jones is doing good for his capabilities. Unfortunately his capabilities are that of a #3 WR and he's the Packers leading receiver.
While i will agree that Rodgers hasn't been his normal pinpoint self this season, he is not the reason for the terrible offensive play.

Hardly. There has been rumblings that McCarthy and Rodgers are butting heads. Rodgers will change the play at the line of scrimmage to a pass play because he wants to throw. Rodgers has not been close to pinpoint and his accuracy has just been bad. If his name wasn't Aaron Rodgers, he would have been benched in games this year. Got to stop making excuses for the highest paid player in the league.
Everyone on the offense has been poor at the skill positions (minus Jones being forced into the number receiver spot at his age). Never said he was the biggest reason but he is paid more than both Nelson and Cobb combined. Take the money, you have to take the criticism. He gets all the credit when they are successful so he has to take some of the blame when they are unwatchable.

Lions WR Calvin Johnson is considering retiring. That could be a major blow to Stafford and the Lions offense.

I had huge hopes last year that we would make the superbowl. Look how that turned out.
Wake up *******s. Not everything goes as planned. Anything can happen if you make the playoffs. Who thought Joe Flacco would become GOAT in 2012? Who thought the 7-9 seahawks would beat the saints. We are one of the 12 teams with a chance at the superbowl, and if Rodgers and the O can go 2010 Atlanta playoff game for 3 straight games then we are in the superbowl.

This. As long as #12 is behind center I'll believe we have a chance. Remember that game against Arizona in 2010(I think?) when we started out down 17-0 and Arizona went up 31-10 early in the 3rd quarter. We came back and forced OT but lost...anything can happen. I'm disappointed in Aaron and the offense just as much as anybody but we just need to get hot for 4 games. Sucks we're favored this week though :P

let me just tell you how its gonna be for a magical year.
packers beat redskins in the wildcard round
packers beat cardinals in the divisional round
packers beat seahawks or panthers in the conference championship
packers beat broncos in the superbowl.
that will be sweet.

Any chance the Packers demote/fire Tom Clements and bring Joe Philbin back? I know that technically Edgar Bennett is the offensive coordinator but who really believes that?

I was thinking this too. I read an article that made it sound like Tom Clements doesn't really have a place on this coaching staff now that hes not calling plays. I think what we really need is a new WR coach. If im not mistaken, Alex Van Pelt was the QB coach only last year then took on QB and WR when Edgar Bennett was promoted to offensive coordinator (from WR coach) in the offseason. Just seems like our WR play and especially route running has gone down the drain.

Sam Shields is out yet again with a "concussion".
Curious as to what the problem really is.

They mentioned on Milwaukee Sports Radio that Shields seems to be regressing. If that is the case, his season is done.
