who cares if cyborg takes roids?
she still needs to make 135. I couldn't give less ****s about that match up unless she can make weight. It is not Rondas job to fight cyborg outside of her weight class. She is the 135 champ. She can stay there and crush people as long as she likes and she will probably do that.
Roanda would probably crush cyborg anyway. Cyborg is a can crushing mid level BJJ practitioner with brawling skills on par with wanderlei silva aka: sub par
she big and strong and bullies her opponents and her technique sucks. She would get her needle are ripped off by rhonda in round 1.

i wouldn't have a problem with ronda refusing to meet cyborg at a 140 lb catchweight, but the fact that she said publicly that she would fight Gina Carano at 145 (but not Cyborg) makes her look really bad. i thought it wasn't her job to move up to fight anyone? if you're willing to fight Gina at 145 then you should definitely be okay fighting Cyborg at 140.
if you're gonna talk all this sh!t about how you're the greatest female fighter ever, that you can beat floyd mayweather, etc then at least back it up and fight the girl who many believe is your only real challenge. if she were really as confident as she says she is, she'd make the fight happen and beat Cyborg to shut everyone up for good. but she won't. because she'd rather fight a sucked out Cyborg who would nearly kill herself to make 135.Last edited by andrew28; 08-23-2015 at 11:14 AM.

She should not fight gina at 145 either, but gina has not been caught cheating which is rondas logic. Until either one of them gets caught her argument is valid. Her job is to defend the belt first. I doubt she will take a 145 gina fight over a belt defense
ronda receives 10x the **** for half the **** other champs pull.

If Aldo claimed he could beat anyone, at any weight, then when called out by Dos Anjos to fight him at 155 refused and demanded he come down to 145, what do you think the general reaction would be? Also let's pretend in this scenario there's literally no one at 145 Aldo wouldn't be a 10-1+ favorite over.
The UFC has invested more resources into promoting her than any fighter, ever. Add to that the fact Dana is going on ESPN, having Rogan talk on his podcast, etc. about how she can beat male UFC fighters and I'd have to say it's the most disingenuous promotion of a fighter ever too.
Don't see the argument that she's a victim of the excess criticism at all. She makes ridiculous claims. the UFC spends millions parroting her ridiculous claims, then she doesn't fight a woman at a weight class she'd still have to cut weight to make herself. The ridiculousness of the situation would be picked up more by the mainstream sports media were she not a woman.

agree with all of this. if ronda loses, her immortal status as a legendary, undefeated fighter will be over. yea they'd make a lot of money on a rousey/cyborg fight card but that's just one event. in the long run it would put an end to ronda's mystique. it makes complete sense for the UFC to not want this fight to happen. or at least if it is gonna happen, better to let ronda have any advantage she can get. which is why Dana White told her to stfu about moving up to 145 to fight Gina Carano. because then she'd have no excuse to avoid fighting Cyborg.

Ive always hated this prick.
Ronda is beating GOATS.
If one was to have brawling skills, probably not a bad thing that they are on par with one of the great if not the greatest 'brawlers' ever.
This motherfooker has always been an elitist hipster no good **** son of a bitch.
Swear to G, he needs a good humbling - old country way.

Got carried away i mean like Champions when they thoroughly clean out a division and especially when there is no competition move up or down. Ronda obviously can't move down the weight cut is too much and she wouldn't be the best Ronda but she can move up and fight cyborg.
No i honestly do see a point in discussing in it tbh.
Holm has is a completely different match up than Rondas past opponents who just go in there and brawl and throw wild ones.
It is a good match up style wise to see how Ronda does against a person who fights on the outside and circles around their opponents.
Other than that i still see Ronda taking it. Holm will get caught in the clinch like she did 4-5 times in her last fight.
It is unfortunate.
Yea problem is the business point of view is fukn retarded for the fight.
There is no way Cyborg at 135 is the best cyborg. Forget the juice usage in the past she ****ed up we know that.
No one in mma has had the most pressure that Cyborg has to drop massive amounts of weights into a dangerous area and especially with the iv bag ban. Think about it no one else. Everyone is going on about how dangerous cuts are and losing big amounts of weight but totally ignore Cyborg when Ronda can healthily fight Cyborg at 140-145lb. Yes though Cyborg is trying to get to 135 since obviously there is no urgency on Rondas part to meet Cyborg half way.
Yeah just the fact she talks the **** about beating Cyborg at 145lb and still slanders her name with PED use and claiming greatest.
Don't act like Rondas list of opponents are any better than Cyborgs.Last edited by Singularity7; 08-24-2015 at 06:36 AM.
