    Today's Workout: Running

    Weigh in: 158.3-new low

    C210k W3D2
5 min warmup, 90 sec run/90 sec walk, 3 min run, 3 min walk, 90 sec run/90 sec walk, 3 min run, 3 min walk, 5 min cooldown

My Zen Labs app doesn't always tell me when to run like it's supposed to. I managed okay in my head, but it's a bit of a pain. Very few people outside today. I saw one cyclist and one woman walking. Will do my third run tomorrow.

Nice work. When I did C25k I used a music software that let me create a playlist and use the audio cues when to change so could take parts of songs of music I had already purchased. So I'd have a song, the cue to walk or run next would come up, then it would be a different song. Helped for me.

Interesting running method. That’s a good way to ease into 10k. I’ve heard of people using the run/walk method for full marathons. But at some point with a friggin’ marathon isn’t it just easier to run at a slowish pace the whole time?

Often you get to that point eventually. Helped when hadn't been a runner and was obese to start off slower so did the run walk. The runs got longer and walk times shorter until I could slow jog a whole 30 minutes. Then had to get that time longer as wasn't quite to the 5k range yet. After that it was just jog longer instead of run/walk before reaching the 10k mark. That was how I did it anyways.

Sounds cool. I got the app to work today (finally). Week 3 down.

I think the intervals make it easier to run at a steady pace later on. They, for me at least, improve my work capacity so when it's time to run the race, I can go the full distance without stopping. When I did my 5k race last year, I never ran more than 1 mile straight beforehand.

    Ab Wheel: 12, 10, 8
    Rower: 300mx3

My heart rate went a lot, but I was alright.

    Giant Set 2 3 sets
    Hip Thrusts: 12x95, 10x105, 8x110
    Bulgarian Split Squats: 10x65lbs, 8x80lbs, 6x85lbs
    Hanging Ab Raise: 12, 10, 8
    Assault bike: 3/10 mile x3

    The split squats were hard.

    Conditioning (KB Work)

    1 Arm Swings 5x10x28kg/side
    Turkish Get Ups 5x1x12kg/side
    Goblet Squats 5x28kg

Hard to do this at the end, but I got all my reps.

I really like fasting on my non-lifting days. It's helping my weight loss stay consistent, and I find it easier to not eat for a while on one day vs. not eating repeatedly through out the week.

    Easier than yesterday lol.

Saw the chiropractor again today. He wants me doing more prone extension and banded walks to try and strengthen my hips and lower back. Plan is to keep box squatting and reduce the box until I can squat pain free with a full ROM again.

No dinner tonight, as I'm fasting.

I find it easier to maintain a deficit when I fast for a day or two vs trying to maintain the same deficit every day of the week. Fasting has also helped me recognize when I'm actually hungry vs. being just bored and wanting to eat.

I usually just fast for 24 hours, but I wanted to push it to 30 to see how I'd do with a longer fast. It wasn't much worse than 24 hours, but I don't think I want to go any longer than that. Will do another 24 hour fast on Saturday..

I find this to be the case as well. Makes keeping a deficit hella easy.

If you can do 24 hours 30 hours is pretty doable.

Mood is okay. As long as I have coffee or tea, I'm not too hangry. I try to keep busy, especially towards the end.

I just finished a 36 hour fast this morning, wasn't too bad. I "might" try to push it to 48 next weekend, but I reserve the right to bail early.

    Yesterday's Run: C210k W4D3
Walk 5 min, Run 3 min, Walk 90 seconds, Run 5 minutes, Walk 2.5 minutes, Run 3 min, Walk 90 seconds, Run 5 minutes

Now a third of the way done with the program. Still working out which races I want to do. I think I want to do two of them, maybe 4-6 weeks apart.

I'm not hangry either, even when eating a single meal a day. Though I do on occasion think, "I'm on a diet and working in retail, do you want to cross that line punk" hahaha Okay, I don't think that but something similar cause at times retail plus no chocolate is a trying, difficult situation and I don't even attempt long fasts. Bench looked pretty good PR. Do you ever take PWO? Maybe that would help with the fasting if you're feeling a bit slow on some of these. There's also a chance you may crap your pants on PWO because you're fasting. It's a gamble lol.

I pretty much always use preworkout. I think it's mental. I've never liked grinding out bench reps. Squats, I can do.

Wow, congrats on the weight loss! That's quite a bit down from when I was last in here.

Impressive routine, lots of big ass sets. Looks killer.

Impressive routine, lots of big ass sets. Looks killer.

Fasting too? Is it like a day/24 hours here and there sort of thing?
Trying to get down to 145. So close, and yet so far.

I fast 2 days a week, for at least 24 hours. The longest I've gone is 36. I was going to try for 48 this weekend, but I'm sick, and I may scrap the fast all together (or do a shorter one).

Alas, no lifting or running today. Hoping I'll be up for a workout tomorrow!

Thanks! Sometimes, I get mad at myself for not being as strong as I want to be, but then I remember that I've come a long way and the best is yet to come.

    Today's Workout: Alrushe's PB Program W2D3

    Warmup: Elliptical, Hip Drills

    Giant Set 1 3 sets
    Landmine Squats 10x30, 8x35, 6x40
    Deadlifts 8x205, 6x220, 4x235
    Cable Crunches 10x40, 8x50, 6x60
    Rower 200m

Still have a cold, so I couldn't go as fast as I wanted to, but deadlifts were strong.

    Giant Set 2 3 sets
    GHR 10x15, 8x17.5, 6x25
    Deficit Deads 8x185, 6x200, 4x212.5
    Planks 3x30s
    Assault Bike .1m

    Easy as pie

    Conditioning
    Turkish Get Ups 5x1x10kg/side
    One Arm Swings 2x10x28kg/side
    Halo 4x10kg/side

The swings were too hard. I quit after 40 total.

Went to lunch with my mom. I got a chicken sandwich and we split a skillet cookie.

You'll get it, keep rampaging it and 145 shall soon be yours! You're gonna be jacked AF at 145 btw. I hope you feel better soon. Yeah when I'm sick I try to eat a lot, I'll postpone any plan or cut until I'm better to speed up getting over the sickness.

OMG that skillet cookie. I'm kinda upset knowing this exists and I don't have one available to me atm.
    Current PRs:
    Bench Press: 200x1
    Deads: 315x1

You'll get there, you're doing great! You can practically see the finish line already.

Neat method, sounds like a good alternative to the daily fasting window a lot of people do, at least you can fuel up normally for the more active days.

Can relate. I often feel like I should be stronger, and have more muscle by now, and it bums me out. Just gotta remember you're still moving forward, and as long as you keep going you'll get there.
